Wow, what a long old year, eh? The first few months seemed super long and the rest, as usual, has absolutely sailed by! I hope you’ve all had a really lovely 2017 but if you haven’t, here’s hoping your 2018 is much better 🙂
My Rib Tattoo
If you’ve read my blog before, you might know that I’ve not only written a post about things to think about before you get a tattoo but also a couple of posts on my tattoo laser removal sessions, because I’ve ended up having major tattoo regret!!
This year I decided to really look into getting a cover-up for my rib tattoo as I had the funds and I figured it was about time to finally do something about it.
The Higher Nature Evening*
A couple of weeks ago, I was invited along to check out a brand that was completely new to my radar; Higher Nature. The event was held at BozBoz Gallery in Brighton (near St Peter’s Church) which was the perfect setting to show off their products.
Jingle And Mingle 2017*
Last year I was invited to the Jingle and Mingle event, hosted by Mickaela and Amy from Salon Success. Unfortunately I was too ill to attend and I was absolutely gutted, although they did very kindly sent me out a goody bag ♥ and I wrote a post about the amazing goodies I received.
This year I was invited again and was determined to make it!
A Chatty Catch-Up | November
I actually really like writing these posts as it’s a great way to remind myself what I’ve been up to every month. Sometimes it’s so hard to remember as the months tend to blur into one!! Anyway, I really hope you all enjoy reading them 🙂
I Found A Lump In My Breast
Just over four weeks ago, I was having a shower and remembered to give my boobies a check, because HELLO, it’s super important!!
Instead of my usual soft and smooth squishy boobs, I found a hard lump in my right breast.
I must have spent another 10 minutes in the shower desperately trying not to panic and squishing my boobs every which way to make sure I was mistaken. But I wasn’t. There was definitely a lump there.
Lush Festive Blogger Night | Crawley*
Ever since I was invited to the Lush event last year, it’s safe to say my opinion about Lush has definitely changed! I used to find there was too much choice, but now I know what I like and don’t like, I’m happy to spend a good half hour browsing for new products!
I was thrilled to get an invite to this year’s Lush event in Crawley; not only to get to see the new products coming out, but also to spend some time with some of my blogging faves; Katie, Charlie, Tania and Rosie 🙂
A Chatty Catch-Up | October
If you follow me on social media and regularly read my blog, you’ll know that things went a little quiet last month. I decided to take some down-time from blogging to concentrate on some real-life projects I’d been neglecting. Every weekend is usually spent taking blog photos, editing them and proof-reading blog posts for the next week, so it was lovely not to have to worry about any of that for a while.
Smashbox Instamatte Review
I absolutely love this time of year because it means I can start wearing a dark lip again and not look like a total weirdo.
The only issue I have, is that most of my favourite dark lips aren’t matte lipsticks, so I always end up smudging them or having to reapply them a lot throughout the day. (Generally though, I usually get so frustrated that I go to the toilets and rub the bloody lipsticks off, until it looks like I’ve been punched in the mouth!!)
Things To Do In New Orleans
Back in 2011, I was feeling ridiculously adventurous and wildly free after another bad break-up with another complete asshole, so I spontaneously booked myself some plane tickets round the USA for three weeks (I’ve written a little about this in my reverse bucket list post). Part of my stay included a long weekend in New Orleans and I packed in some amazing things.
