Hard to believe we’re now halfway through the year, isn’t it? This month has gone pretty slowly for me, what about you? I think my biggest thing of June was my back problem.
Salon Success At Six, Brighton*
I absolutely love getting to hang out with some of my favourite Brighton people and Amy and Mickaela from Salon Success, so I was thrilled to get an invite to another dinner event; this time at Six in Hove! I’ve heard loads of good things about the restaurant, so I was excited I’d be trying it out for myself and getting to see the new products from Salon Success 😀
My Bad Habits
Being a blogger and maintaining an active presence on Twitter and Instagram, it’s really easy for me to put up photos, tweets and blog posts that show me being awesome and at my best, but sometimes I’m really not. I do try to write more honest Insta captions to go with my pretty photos now, which I hope makes me slightly more relatable (I dunno though, do they? Can someone let me know?)
I’m not perfect by any means though and I happen to have loads of bad habits just like everyone else, so I thought I’d let you in on a few!
A Chatty Catch-Up | May
To be honest, when I sat down to write this month’s catch up, I could barely remember what I got up to at all. I actually had to look back at earlier blog posts and check my Google calendar to know what I did!
Seven Products For Summer Feet*
*Disclaimer* this post has no actual photos of feet!
I have to be honest, one of the things I hate most about the UK suddenly getting a few hot days is that everyone shoves on a pair sandals or flip-flops, despite having spent winter neglecting their feet 😬😬😬
I mean, I’m not saying my feet are by any means perfect; my toes are slightly bent, which sometimes causes them to rub on my shoes 🤢🤢 But I do try to keep them looking as fab as I possibly can!
Uppersole Shoe Review*
I wouldn’t have said I was obsessed with shoes or trainers, but while I was sorting out my wardrobe recently, I realised I owned a hell of a lot more pairs than I thought I did and some that I’d completely forgotten I even owned 😬😬 As it was obvious I wasn’t going to ever wear a lot of them again, I decided to get rid of a load; to charity, to the tip and on Depop!
How To Save Money On Home Insurance
Until I met J, I wasn’t very good with saving money on anything. I used to stick to the same companies year on year for my insurance, mobile and internet providers because I was too lazy to switch. I’d also buy the same products all the time, not even looking at whether there was a cheaper alternative.
I’m now completely reformed and consider myself to be pretty savvy, so I thought I’d thought I’d share some of the tips I’ve learnt!
The Ivy In The Lanes | Brighton*
To be honest, there’s nothing more exciting than being invited for food, especially when it happens to be at the newly opened The Ivy In The Lanes*, in Ship Street, Brighton. I’ve seen a few pics from the opening night and I couldn’t wait to go and see it for myself!!
A Chatty Catch-Up | April
How in the hell is April over already?? It’s definitely been another blink and you’ll miss it month. Plus we’ve had such random weather extremes, it’s been hard to keep up!!
A Day Out In Arundel
A few months ago, Rosie, Katie and myself were discussing ideas on where to go after we’d had our fun day out at Wood’s in Worthing. We knew that we definitely wanted something food related and somewhere pretty for loads of cute outfit shots!!
