I’ve always had a fascination with jewellery. When I was younger, I was given a jewellery roll full of necklaces and bracelets that I inherited from my grandma. Although they were beautiful, I was too scared to wear them in case I lost them. Plus everything in it is gold and I prefer silver. Sorry Grandma.
October has been a pretty slow relaxing month, which has been nice! It’s also been a month of warm sunshine, birthdays, illnesses and a trip to the Harry Potter Studio Tour with my mum ⚡️🎉
I recently got to go back to the Harry Potter studio tour and this time I took my mum along with me 😊 I’ve been a couple of times before but my mum’s never been so I decided to treat her for her birthday!!
While we were there, I also gave her a quick crash course on photography so I could get some outfit of the day photos! I think she did really well!! (Apart from a couple of blurry photos and all the ones of me with my eyes closed 😂😂)
For my birthday (back in August), I decided I really wanted to order a Gobstone Alley box as a present to myself. I got a one-off box for about £35 (the company is in Poland so I bought mine in euros).
If you’re unfamiliar with Gobstone Alley, they sell monthly Harry Potter related subscription boxes, filled with between 11 and 15 random and mysterious goodies (previous items have included a quill, wands, prints, stationery and you get the idea). The boxes also always include one wearable item (usually a t-shirt), some collectible playing cards, a candle from Incendio Candles and some loose leaf tea made by a company called Cosy Elves. The boxes are also filled with goodies from small independent retailers so you really feel like you’re getting something unique that’s been made just for that month’s box!
I nearly forgot to write one of these this month; it kind of slipped my notice that we were suddenly at the end of September!! I can’t believe we’re now in October already!
I’d never really given much thought to my arms before. I mean, I do have quite slender forearms, dotted with cute little freckles and a pretty wrist tattoo. My feelings about my upper arms were pretty indifferent; until I was tagged on Facebook a few years ago in the most unflattering photo, I was at a friend’s wedding wearing a blue sleeveless dress.
Having massively got back into Harry Potter recently, I thought I’d share my small (for now) collection with you. This post was inspired by Fiona and you can check out her blog post here.
I last did one of these back in 2016 (you can read the post here) so I thought it was time for a bit of an update!! At the moment I’m using my gorgeous dark green crossbody bag that I picked up from Primark; it was £7 but when I got to the till, it was down to £3 in the sale 😀 I love colour (even though it’s not a colour I’d normally go for) and the beetle detailing on the front.
Hard to believe we’re now halfway through the year, isn’t it? This month has gone pretty slowly for me, what about you? I think my biggest thing of June was my back problem.
To be honest, when I sat down to write this month’s catch up, I could barely remember what I got up to at all. I actually had to look back at earlier blog posts and check my Google calendar to know what I did!
