If you read my Big Blogger Expo post, you’ll have seen me mention that I won one of the raffle prizes; a Heaven Skincare set from Deborah Mitchell. I also said I’d share exactly what I’d won in a post. So here it is!
Last week when I went to The Maker Club event with Tania, her face was so absolutely flawless, I begged her to let me in on her secret. It was Too Faced’s Born This Way foundation! I was all over that and I forced her to Debenhams so I could get colour-matched. Aaaand they were out of stock. So I bought some online and picked it up last Wednesday.
I don’t know about you guys, but sometimes my life feels pretty full on, although it often feels like I’m barely doing anything!
I get really dry hands and usually have cracked skin around my nails, yeah I know, that’s so sexy, right? :/ I’ve tried so many hand creams and have either found them to be too greasy or have too much of a smell.
I even stumbled upon a secret bathroom at work where they have a plethora of hand lotions and creams (I’m not kidding, there are about 10+ different bottles in there!) but none of them were doing it for me. They were either way too greasy or smelt weird; chocolate and orange was nice though.
So unless you’re Tim Peake and have been in space for the last six months, you’ll probably know that earlier this year, Makeup Revolution joined forces with Jane (aka British Beauty Blogger) and created the Fortune Favours the Brave palette.
Honestly, sometimes I feel like I’m in one of those anonymous meetings; Hi, I’m Holly, I’m 31 and I absolutely love a lot of the Zoella beauty products. There; I’ve said it.
A couple of months ago I went to my first Brighton blog meet and in my goody bag were two samples of Mintycoco; the coconut oil-pulling formula with peppermint which is for “leaving your mouth feeling fresh, your teeth looking whiter and your gums healthy.” I decided to give it a go….
It’s been a while since I’ve done one of these; mostly because I hadn’t really bought anything for a few months. But it’s back and there are some things I’ve been absolutely loving!
If you saw my Twitter feed a couple of weeks ago, you’ll know I was doing a nail wrap give-away courtesy of Dinkibelle and they very kindly sent me a set of the Peacock nail wraps to try out for myself.
So as promised, I’ve just finished my first attempt at recreating a make-up tutorial I found on Pinterest. I wanted to do this because there are so many tutorials out there and a lot of the vidoes/blog/photos assume that we know all the terms and have all the right brushes and kit etc. I find that I use a lot of baby wipes/make-up remover when I’m trying a new look as it always goes a bit awry, but no one really shows that part or the hours of practice it takes. So if you’re not very confident at putting on make-up or it never really looks like it should, don’t worry, you are not alone 🙂
