GOSH* | AW17 Collection

GOSH first landed on my radar last year when I received their nail hardener in my Girl Gang goody bag. I was thrilled to be invited to attend their SS17 launch earlier this year, but unfortunately I wasn’t able to go. They incredibly kindly sent me out some products to try out anyway! What a lovely company, right?

When I got my invite recently to check out their AW17 products, I knew I couldn’t miss it, so I travelled up to London to see what they’d come up with 🙂

I mean firstly though, it’s not going up to London if you don’t get lost at least once. I’d carefully planned my journey using Google Maps, who decided to tell me to get off at tube stations that weren’t even on the line I was on!! I basically had to wing it and thank the stars, I got it right first time! Go me!!

I finally found my way to Piccadilly and it was only a three minute walk to the venue, Aquavit, where Tania (from When Tania Talks) was waiting outside for me. I have to say that she is just one of the loveliest, most geniune people ever. Oh and she’s hella gorgeous too ♥ She introduced me to the very lovely Victoria (from Florence and Mary) and we all got on as though we were really old friends!

We headed upstairs to the event where the new products were all dotted around the room for us to photograph. This is the Strobe ‘N Glow Kit (001 Highlight). There’s a gorgeous shimmery highlighter and three bronzers to strobe and define your face ♥

Then you have the Strobe ‘N Glow Kit (002 Blush) complete with a highlighter, two highlighting blushes and a matte blush 🙂

My Favourite Mascara is another new offering from GOSH. It contains Oak extract which has astringent and oxidant properties. Dina told us that the other part of the magic is in the wand. None of the bristles are the same length which means they separate, lengthen and volumise all in one!!

The Primer Plus+ really excited me. It’s anti-pollution, perfect for working in a busy city and it also contains Oak extract. The colour adapts to most skin colours, although darker skin may end up looking slightly grey, which can be neutralised with red underneath. I tried some of this on my hand and it left it feeling super soft and looking like I had a lovely healthy looking glow! The primer is also perfume and paraben free!

These Lift and Highlight pencils not only highlight but lift and define as well. In two colours, Nude and Rose, they’re perfecting for highlighting your inner eye corner, cupids bow and under your brow bone 🙂 One end is a matte pencil and the other is a shimmery pencil!

There are also two new shades to the Lumi drops; Rose Gold and Gold. You can use these on bare skin or over foundation to refresh and boost any complexion 😀

To Party in London is a beautiful 9 shade eyeshadow palette. The colours are incredibly pigmented and have been inspired by the glitz and glamour of London nightlife!!

Once we’d had time to settle in, chat and get some drinks (coke for me please), Sidsel Marie Bøg, the very talented makeup artist and Dina Kaffton, the product specialist gave us all a talk about the new range and some background history about GOSH. I had no idea it had started out as a pharmaceutical company back in 1945 and is still family-run to this day!

There was then a fantastic demo by Sidsel of all the new products, including different uses for them that I’d never thought of before; like using an eyeshadow primer under your highlight to really make it pop! I was really excited hearing about some of the products; the 24h Pro Liner comes complete with smudger and sharpener. It lasts up to 24 hours and it’s waterproof and smudge-proof! Another product was the Prime’N Set Primer and Mattifying Setting Powder in Banana that you can either use on moisturised skin to minimise pores, fine lines and redness, or use over foundation to set it and make it last longer! I was also excited for the Brow Shape and Fill which comes with a pencil, a powder and a gel!!

The products are all being released today so get online or pop down to your local Superdrug and get yourselves some of the new collection!

I had such a lovely time at the event, I enjoyed getting to know the brand more and hanging out with Tania and Victoria. I want to thank GOSH for a wonderful evening and an absolutely incredible gift bag. I honestly couldn’t believe what they’d gifted us ♥

Which of the products are you excited about? Are there any you’ve already bought? Let me know in the comments below 🙂 x

*I was invited by GOSH to the event but all views are my own.

  1. I definitely need to investigate these bits. I’m finally getting my makeup and lights out of storage, so I’ll be able to play with makeup again, I’m excited! Looks like a great day out, well done on getting there intact all by yourself lol. Aw miss the London trips! I’m going to have to do a wee bit of shopping this weekend me thinks!
