I was going to say that it feels like ages and ages since I did one of these, then I realised that’s because it is; I last did a favourites post back in April!! But I’m back this month because there have been plenty of things I’ve been using, wearing, eating, and of course, loving!!
I absolutely love dry shampoo; it’s probably one of the best things that’s ever happened to the beauty world (apart from highlighters) and I couldn’t ever be without it. I’ve tried loads of different ones over the years from those cheap ones that cost about £1 to one that set me back a whopping £22!! (In my defence though, it smelt absolutely incredible, but I shan’t ever be spending that much again!)
The one that I’ve been reaching for all the time for the last few months though this little beauty from Style Freedom!
I honestly can’t believe that July is nearly over. I’ve had a pretty frantic but awesome month to be honest. I recently quit my job of 18 months to start something slightly different (in fact it’s my first day today, wish me luck!).
I got to hang out with loads of my really lovely (blogger) friends 🙂 I went up to London twice; the first time was for the Harry Potter studio tour and the second was to check out the AW17 collection from GOSH ♥ I also rode a bike for the first time in about 20 years and nailed a pretty difficult pole move called the Superman! I also went to down to Portsmouth to have lunch with my parents, my brother and his children 🙂
Every month, Rachael and I make time to hang out with each other and try and do something different and fun. Among other things, we’ve been to the Foodie’s Festival, the True Crime Museum, bowling and to a spa (which Rachael wrote about here.)
But this month was one of the most exciting months so far because we only bloody went to the Harry Potter Studio Tour in London!! #HazzaP
GOSH first landed on my radar last year when I received their nail hardener in my Girl Gang goody bag. I was thrilled to be invited to attend their SS17 launch earlier this year, but unfortunately I wasn’t able to go. They incredibly kindly sent me out some products to try out anyway! What a lovely company, right?
When I got my invite recently to check out their AW17 products, I knew I couldn’t miss it, so I travelled up to London to see what they’d come up with 🙂
If you know anything about me, you’ll know that Buffy The Vampire Slayer has always had a special place in my heart. I started getting into it back in 2000 and the first episode I ever watched was Halloween (season 2). I know, it’s shocking that I didn’t start watching it right from the off, but I was soon hooked and have been a massive fan ever since.
(Please note that the main bulk of this post contains massive spoiler alerts, so if you’ve never seen it and think you might want to, this post is definitely not for you, sorry! ♥) If you love Buffy, then read on 🙂
Last week I had the opportunity to attend the soft launch of their lastest cocktail bar in Brighton. Located at the bottom of West Street and attached to PRYZM, it honestly feels a million miles away from the usual connotations of “just another West Street bar”. For those of you not from Brighton, think of that one street in your town where you never want to go down at night because it’s full of clubbers, people throwing up and girls dropping chips all over the floor while trying to pull their knickers out of their bums. Just sayin’.
I’ll let you in on a secret. I much prefer autumn and winter but only because I’m lazy. Hear me out though; I make weekday lunches for me and J every day and it’s so easy to buy cheapy cans of soup from Asda, but in the hotter months, I actually have to put a little bit of effort in!
Recently though, I’ve stumbled on some really simple and easy-to-make recipes which we’ve been absolutely loving, so I’m sharing them with you, in case you’re looking for some summer lunch inspiration 🙂
So I was really excited to learn that the products are not only available to purchase at the spa in the Grand Hotel Brighton, but they’re also offering unique spa treatments using these incredible products.
It’s always useful to prepare thoroughly for interviews. People spend ages thinking of the questions they might be asked and how to give fantastic answers, which is fab, but there are loads of other bits you can do, that you might not have thought of, to prepare yourself for the big day. Here are my top tips on preparing for interviews 🙂
