Mini Shopping Spree

I don’t know about you, but I’m so crap at receiving gift cards and not remembering to put them in my purse or then remembering to use them! My parents got me a book voucher for my birthday. In August. I also got a Boots gift card from my work colleagues when I left in December!

I was in town getting my hair cut on Saturday and finally remembered to take my gift cards with me, so I went on a mission to buy some things I’ve been wanting for ages!

♦ Soap and Glory Supercat Eyeliner Pen (£6.00) – My eyeliner from Born Pretty Store has been running out for a while and I wanted a replacement before it completely died. This was one of the products on my 2016 to buy list. I’ve had a quick test with it and the pen seems a lot more solid than my previous one, which I find easier to use and I can’t wait to try some wings with it.

♦ Rimmel Match Perfection Foundation (£7.99) – I love my Estée Lauder Double Wear Light foundation, but sometimes I find I’m putting it on just for the purposes of writing a blog post and at £30, it seems silly to put it on just to take it straight off again! I’d been eyeing up Rimmel foundations but couldn’t make up my mind which one I wanted. I finally chose Matte Perfection (in Ivory) as I wanted something to help with my pores. I really hope it does the trick and isn’t drying for my skin..

The Body Shop Oils of Life Facial Oil (£28) – … that being said, I did pop into The Body Shop on the way home and bought this. I’ve read a lot that a drop or two mixed in with your foundation is great to keep it from drying and flaking. At £28, it is pricey, but a little of this will go a long way!

Collection Contour Kit (£3.99) – I’m so late to every trend, it’s not even funny any more! I really wanted to try contouring and this little kit is the perfect, inexpensive way to try it. There are only two colours and instructions on the back for the complete novice like me!

The Girl On The Train (£12.99) – I’ve been wanting this ever since I read about it via The Olive Fox book club, it’s got some really mixed reviews so I can’t wait to get stuck into it and decide for myself!

Do you own any of these products? What do you think of them and what’s your favourite? x

  1. Y’know the supercat is really a miss for me, I’ve never got on with it but that Rimmel foundation is great – It’s my go-to for work when I don’t wanna wear my expensive stuff to sit in the office 🙂
Can I also take a guess that your wee tealight is candycane lane from yankee? I have a whole pack of them and ADORE the scent :p

    1. I’ll have to give them a go and let you know what I think 🙂
I have absolutely no idea what the candle is or where from, I’ve had it for years! It does smell though so it may well be a Yankee! Xx
