Bravura London Skincare Review*

A couple of months ago, I was offered the chance to try out some of the Bravura Skincare range and I couldn’t believe it when all this came through the door!

Even before using the products, I was really impressed with how they looked.  I love the beautifully coloured glass bottles and the gold writing on the front with rose gold lids ♥

I use these products every morning and evening; starting off with the First Cleanse Oil.  It’s really gentle on my face and even removes stubborn mascara and eyeliner easily.  If I’ve been out for the evening, I usually cleanse twice to make sure I’ve got all the makeup off and I add a couple of drops of water on to my cotton wool ball to turn it into a gorgeous milky cleanser; it makes it last longer!!

After I’ve washed the oil off and let my face dry, I apply some of their Revitalising Ginseng Toner.  It’s great for all skin types as it re-balances your skin’s PH level.  The toner also helps smooth the skin and contains Witch Hazel, Glycolic Acid and Ammonium Glycolate (5%) for loosening dead skin cells.  Delightful.  But it smells lovely, which is always a bonus!

The next step is the Hyaluronic Acid Serum, and trust me when I say, a tiny bit goes a long way!  I’ve never needed to squeeze the pump down all the way to get a decent sized amount.  It’s designed to provide ‘lightweight but intense hydration’ and it really does!  I’ve gone out a couple of times having forgotten to moisturise and my face didn’t go dry.  At all.  Doesn’t mean I can get away with not moisturising regularly though.

Last up on my daily routine is the Collagen Moisturising Cream.  Packed with ginseng extract, allantoin and aloe vera, it’s great for soothing and healing the skin.  As well as moisturising.  Obviously.  I love it because it absorbs really fast and doesn’t leave my face looking greasy.  I also use more in the evening for an extra hydration boost.

I also got these two serums which are designed to be used every other other day.  So Monday would be Lactic Acid day, Wednesday is Glycolic Acid day and Friday is Lactic Acid day again.  Easy to remember, right?  Well no, but I do my best.

The Lactic Acid is great for helping acne, dry skin and fine wrinkles.  It also stings like a bloody bitch! But it smells really nice.  I use the pipette to measure the correct amount and although I’m meant to use the handy brush,  I use my fingers to apply (because I’m a rebel and also because I’d have to clean the brush every time) and then wash it off with warm water.

The Glycolic Acid does pretty much the same thing, although with the added bonus of helping discolouration and dark patches.

I only put these on at night and before I apply the Hyaluronic Acid Serum.

Since using the Bravura skincare products, I’ve found that my face feels a lot softer and a couple of the really fine lines; especially around my forehead, have almost disappeared!

I’ve also been using the serum and moisturising cream on my décolletage area, ya know, the bit under the neck and above the boobs, which is an area I get a lot of lines on because I sleep on my side and gravity does its thing.  The lines used to last all day until I went to sleep again.  Awesome.  Except now, the lines are there when I wake up but gone an hour or so later.  I’m ridiculously chuffed as I always felt the lines made that area look really old!  Please tell me I’m not alone in this?

What’s your skincare regime like?  Which of these products would you be most tempted to try out?  Let me know in the comments below 🙂 x

  1. I’m just waiting for my first Bravaura order to arrive. Am awaiting the Lactic acid and the Dermaflannel – if I like those I will probably end up ordering a couple of other products from the range. Quite fancy trying the toner and the collagen cream.

  2. I’ve heard of this brand but never investigated, sounds like I’ll have to add them to my list. I do love an acid or exfoliating toner to help then skin out.

    Honestly Aine

    1. Acids are amazing! I was so scared at first because I thought it would peel layers of skin off, but they don’t work like that, luckily!!
