Sleek Eau La La Liner Review

Because I’m still pretty new to experimenting with makeup, I somehow seem to own pretty much every eyeliner type there is; I have gel, pencil, liquid and pen eyeliners. If you can name it, I’ve got it and tried it because I’m still searching for that one eyeliner I can use easily without getting frustrated because it’s coming out wrong.

Some I’ve loved and some I’ve really hated. Maybe one day I’ll do a post on the ones I really didn’t like and why.

Anyway, I know I mentioned this eyeliner in a previous makeup of the day post, but I’ve absolutely fallen in love with the Eau La La Liner* from Sleek. Since the very first application, it’s become my favourite pencil eyeliner; even over my previous love, the Rimmel Kohl eyeliner which I’d been using since I was 16. Sorry Kohl eyeliner.

(Although it did take me about 10 minutes to work out that you need to sharpen it like a pencil to carry on using it once it’s worn down! I’m such a nob!)

The Sleek liner lasts all day and I don’t have to re-touch it at all. Not even a little bit. Not even during those few days last week when it was about 27°c outside and the rest of my makeup was sliding all over my face!

As the pencil itself isn’t your typical lead and wood, when you sharpen it you don’t get that heartbreaking moment where the lead falls out and you realise your pencil is no longer usable. (That’s happened to me more times than I care to imagine!) It’s even worse when your pencil is brand new and you drop it just as you get home. Please tell me that’s not just me??

And because you can sharpen it, you can either create nice precise thin lines or blunt it slightly for thicker, smudgy lines. Which to be honest is my favourite way to apply eyeliner. I am a goth at heart after all and I love the thick smudgey look! Here are three of my favourite looks using the Eau La La Liner 🙂

The Eau La La liners come in a variety of different colours. They not only have your standard black and brown, but also a yellow, red and orange. I really fancy grabbing a dark blue and purple next. I think the purple would look great for autumn looks. Oh and apparently they can all be used as lip liners as well!!

You can pick them up in Boots, Superdrug or online at Sleek for about £4.99 each.

What colour would you go for? And are you a gel, liquid or pencil eyeliner lover? Let me know in the comments below 🙂 x

  1. I like a pencil for under eye and gel for flicks. I love Illamasqua’s gel liner the most.

    1. I’m quite partial to the smudged look, although there’s a difference between ‘it’s meant to be smudged’ and ‘are you okay?’ 😀 x

  2. This eyeliner sounds great!! It’s been so long since I’ve even worn eyeliner but this post has definitely made me want to run out and grab some!

  3. I’ve not tried the Sleek liner but am always on the lookout for a good drugstore option these days. My favourite is the Kat Von D Tattoo Liner but it’s a little bit pricey, and mine has also dried out now, so I may check this one out. Thanks for the review!
