Whoop whoop, it’s the first catch-up post of the new year and it’s only 5 days late!! Don’t expect too much though, I’ve not exactly been busy this month. I think January is definitely the month to be hibernating and take it easy 😂😂
I’ve not been out to eat at all this month, but I have cooked some new meals, including this delicious looking pork satay stir fry! I absolutely loved it and it was so easy to make; I might have to write a recipe review for it 🙂
I bought a few things this month. As I won a competition to have personal training sessions for an entire year, I figured I should buy some workout gear! I picked up these gorgeous leggings from the Primark x Alice Liveing range (which were only £8 and there’s a pocket at the back for a locker key!!) and these funky trainers (also from Primark) which were £14 down to £7, what a bargain!!
I popped into Waterstones and got the next two books in the Robert Hunter series; The Executioner and The Night Stalker by Chris Carter. I absolutely love crime thriller books and The Executioner was a fantastic read!! I’ve just started on The Night Stalker and fucking Nora!! I don’t want to put anyone off, but it’s incredibly graphic and sadistic!!
As I recently pledged for a Flynn Rider pin on Kickstarter (there’s still time to pledge if you want to grab one for yourself), I knew I had to buy Rapunzel to go with him! This stunning pin is from Blue Lemon Inc and I honestly can’t wait for Flynn to complete the collection ❤️❤️
My biggest purchase this month was my absolutely stunning deer tattoo! I got this beautiful tattoo done by Gee Hawkes (based at Topboy Tattoo in Hove) and I absolutely love it (it’s on my left side thigh) 😍😍😍
Blogging has been a relaxed affair this month; I’ve not really felt like writing much so I haven’t pushed it. I have a few drafts though so hopefully I can actually finish and publish them at some point soon!! I’ve also had some fantastic companies reach out for product reviews so I can’t wait to let you see what they are and what I think of them 🙂
Home and garden:
I really wanted to start tackling some of the clutter and get rid of some old clothes that I no longer wear!
I made a really good start and used the Marie Kondo method to organise our malm drawers from IKEA that we keep t-shirts and jumpers in! It looks better now; I can actually see what I own and there’s space for more clothes 😆😆 Plus, I ended up with two massive bags full of clothes to give to charity 😊
The best of the rest:
I started my personal training sessions this month and the first session was an absolute killer!! I can’t wait to share my progress as my goals for the year are to tone up, improve my strength and hopefully lose a few pounds while I’m doing it 🙂
Finally, don’t forget to check out my lovely advertiser:
Kathleen is a premium skin care brand with a passion for all things natural and organic. They have an incredible range of products and I’ve reviewed the Illuminating Serum, the Sonic Facial Cleanser and their brand new shower gels and body oils on my blog 🙂
What did you do in January? Did you have a busy or quiet month? Let me know in the comments below 🙂 x
I LOVE Primrark gym wear, the locker key pocket is so handy haha! I can’t believe you won a year of PT sessions, I’d bloody love that. That pork satay stir fry sounds so lovely aswell! January was quite a mundane month but we did book New York which was super exciting!
They’re so fricking comfy! I know, I’m making the most of it while I have them 😊😊
Omg I’m so jealous! New York is amazing, have you been before? Xx
Hehe! No never been to America so it’ll be my first time 👀 XX
I hope you have the most amazing time 😊😊😊 xx
Lovely tattoo! If you’re itching for another one, I highly recommend Katja at Velvet Tattoo in Hove, she did a wonderful job on me a few months back. I had a pretty busy month moving and applying for jobs, hopefully I land one soon!
