A Chatty Catch-Up | January 2019

Whoop whoop, it’s the first catch-up post of the new year and it’s only 5 days late!! Don’t expect too much though, I’ve not exactly been busy this month. I think January is definitely the month to be hibernating and take it easy πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

Food:

I’ve not been out to eat at all this month, but I have cooked some new meals, including this delicious looking pork satay stir fry! I absolutely loved it and it was so easy to make; I might have to write a recipe review for it πŸ™‚

Purchases:

I bought a few things this month. As I won a competition to have personal training sessions for an entire year, I figured I should buy some workout gear! I picked up these gorgeous leggings from the Primark x Alice Liveing range (which were only Β£8 and there’s a pocket at the back for a locker key!!) and these funky trainers (also from Primark) which were Β£14 down to Β£7, what a bargain!!

I popped into Waterstones and got the next two books in the Robert Hunter series; The Executioner and The Night Stalker by Chris Carter. I absolutely love crime thriller books and The Executioner was a fantastic read!! I’ve just started on The Night Stalker and fucking Nora!! I don’t want to put anyone off, but it’s incredibly graphic and sadistic!!

As I recently pledged for a Flynn Rider pin on Kickstarter (there’s still time to pledge if you want to grab one for yourself), I knew I had to buy Rapunzel to go with him! This stunning pin is from Blue Lemon Inc and I honestly can’t wait for Flynn to complete the collection ❀️❀️

My biggest purchase this month was my absolutely stunning deer tattoo! I got this beautiful tattoo done by Gee Hawkes (based at Topboy Tattoo in Hove) and I absolutely love it (it’s on my left side thigh) 😍😍😍

Blogging:

Blogging has been a relaxed affair this month; I’ve not really felt like writing much so I haven’t pushed it. I have a few drafts though so hopefully I can actually finish and publish them at some point soon!! I’ve also had some fantastic companies reach out for product reviews so I can’t wait to let you see what they are and what I think of them πŸ™‚

Home and garden:

I really wanted to start tackling some of the clutter and get rid of some old clothes that I no longer wear!

I made a really good start and used the Marie Kondo method to organise our malm drawers from IKEA that we keep t-shirts and jumpers in! It looks better now; I can actually see what I own and there’s space for more clothes πŸ˜†πŸ˜† Plus, I ended up with two massive bags full of clothes to give to charity 😊

The best of the rest:

I started my personal training sessions this month and the first session was an absolute killer!! I can’t wait to share my progress as my goals for the year are to tone up, improve my strength and hopefully lose a few pounds while I’m doing it πŸ™‚

Finally, don’t forget to check out my lovely advertiser:
