A Chatty Catch-Up | August

Hey lovelies, how’s it going? I’m so sorry I’ve been super quiet on social media recently. I’ve just started a new job and I get no signal in my building (unless I stand right in the corner looking like a twat!) The good news is that I absolutely love my job; it’s keeping me super busy so the days go really quickly!!In fact, I’ve been so busy with work then coming home and flumping on the sofa, it completely passed me by that my blog turned two about two weeks ago! Happy birthday to Golly Miss Holly! I can’t believe it’s been two years already. I feel like I’ve really got into a routine with the blog now which makes it so much easier to keep on top of; plus I’m really happy that my photography has improved dramatically in that time 😀

So what else has been going on? Well, I went out to dinner with my friends, Rachael and Abi recently. We started off at the new La Choza in Hove. We all went for burritos; I had fried chicken with re-fried beans, green rice, cheese and sour cream in mine! I’d definitely recommend it if you’ve not been, it looks amazing and the food is always delicious!!

Afterwards we popped across the road to JoJo Gelato’s and Rachael and I scoffed massive waffles with added ice cream scoops. I got marshmallow, Kinder Bueno and salted caramel with mine!! I was absolutely gutted when I couldn’t finish it all 🙁

I also met up with the gorgeous Jade in London for a shopping trip! We met at King’s Cross station and I got to see the real Platform 9 ¾. Well okay, actually I didn’t, because this photo opportunity spot is outside the platforms, mostly because you can’t get on the real platforms without a ticket! There’s a cute little shop next to it though 🙂

We then headed to Oxford Street and wandered down to the Disney Store and Primark. I was really restrained and only bought another set of fairy lights for blog prop purposes. It was really lovely just to wander around and have a good old catch up though! I’ve not seen Jade for almost a year, since we met at the Girl Gang event last August!

We wandered slowly back to the tube and in Urban Outfitters, we got these amazingly silly photos taken in the photo booth ♥

Afterwards I dragged us into H&M where I got this absolutely ridiculous cat sushi jumper!! I love it so much! I also bought some star pyjama bottoms which I loved at the time, but when I tried them on at home, they looked awful; more like harem pants!! We also stopped for cakes at Source, situated in St Pancras International station. I got a red velvet cupcake and a salted caramel one but forgot to take pics. DOH!

So what else is going to be happening in August for me? Well, J and I are currently in the process of finding new furniture for our house. We took an impromptu trip to IKEA ♥ and bought loads of new bits ( it all looks very blogger!!)

I’m off work next week because it’s my birthday this Sunday (the 20th) and I’m hoping to go for brunch with the lovely Lyndsay and finally meet Ultra Violet. I think my brother is also coming over one day next week and we might have a BBQ in the garden 😀
