The Yankee Candle Elevation Collection*

If you didn’t know already, there’s a Brighton Yankee Candle store in the Churchill Square shopping centre (next to Topshop) and I was kindly invited along last week to check out the new Elevation range which won’t be available until September.

One of the newest features of the Elevation range is the shape of the candle; they’re now square and look very sophisticated!

The other main feature is the lid.  It’s been designed in a way that you can actually rest your candles on top of them, which not only protects your surfaces (I don’t know about you but I always get a bit worried about burning candles on wooden and glass surfaces), but they’re also a stylish design feature too.  Plus it means you no longer need to hide the lids somewhere while you’re using your candles 😀

The lids have a rubbery seal underneath which not only secures it back on the candle nicely, it also acts as a non-slip protector when you put it underneath 🙂  It obviously shows that Yankee Candle have listened to their customers and taking feedback seriously ♥

There are 12 new fragrances in the Elevation range; the small candles have one wick with a burn time of up to 28 hours (£8.99), the medium sizes have three wicks with a burn time of up to 38 hours (£19.99) and the large have two wicks with a burn time of up to 80 hours (£23.99) 😀

Citrus Grove (which was one of my absolute favourites), Sheer Linen and Shore Breeze are very light fragrances that make me think of lovely cool spring days with a gentle breeze and washing on the line.

Pear and Tea Leaf, Sweet Nectar Blossom and Velvet Woods were all lovely floral fragrances with hints of musk.  These would be perfect to burn on a lovely summer’s day with the windows wide open!

Evening Star, Harvest Walk and Sweet Orange Spice were very autumnal fragrances and colours.  They all smelt sweet and spicy and I think are perfect for burning when the leaves start to turn and the jumpers and boots come out of the wardrobe!

Exotic Bergamot, Dark Berries and Coastal Cypress all made me think of dark winter nights, snuggled up under a blanket, reading a book by the fire!

Yankee Candle also very kindly gifted me a candle from the new range; Exotic Bergamot, plus a WoodWick candle in Vanilla and Sea Salt (which I adore) and one of their classic candles in Vanilla Pearl.

I also got this adorable air freshener starter kit which comes with a fragrance locket (mine came with Black Cherry), a bangle so you can hang it off your mirror and a Yankee Candle charm.  You can buy different scented refills and there are loads of different little charms to collect!  The starter kits were £9.99 with refills and charms coming in at about £5 each 🙂

What’s your favourite Yankee Candle scent?  Which one excites you most from the new range?  Let me know in the comments below 🙂 x

*I was invited by the venue to check out the new collection but all views, and very specific sense of smell, are my own.
