Held on Hove Lawns (in East Sussex) from Saturday 29 April to Monday 1 May (bank holiday), the Foodies Festival is back and it’s been billed as the biggest food festival in the UK. I’m giving my lovely readers the chance to win one of 5 pairs of tickets for the weekend (yup, the whole three days!).
So what’s there to do at the Foodies Festival? Well, apart from getting to watch Candice (you know, the lipstick-loving winner of the GBBO in 2016) baking live in the Cakes and Desserts theatre on the Saturday, there will be different Michelin starred chefs cooking their signature recipes throughout the three days and various Masterchef finalists whipping up a storm in the Chefs theatre. In the Drinks Theatre, there will be plenty of opportunities for wine tasting and cocktail masterclasses. If that’s not enough, there’s even a Kiddy Theatre that will keep your little ones entertained making science experiments they can eat!
And once you start getting ravenous wandering round the festival, you can head over and check out all the street food to help keep your hunger at bay. And whether you’re into Japanese, Argentinian, Turkish, Indian or Mexican food, or you have special dietary requirements, there will definitely be a food stall for you! Personally I’m super excited by the Chocolate, Cake and Dessert Village where you can learn how to decorate cakes, breads and other desserts! Plus there’ll be taste tests (get in!) 😉
And if you get tired wandering round sampling all the food and watching all the demos, the Foodies Festival also has a live music stage featuring local bands where you can sit and chill while drinking a nice cold Pimm’s from the Pimm’s teaport or a cider from the vintage cider stall!
