POLPO is a small, unassuming restaurant, situated at 20 New Road (near the Theatre Royal). It’s well-known for their share plates of incredible Venetian food, a beautifully relaxed vibe and extensive cocktail menu.
I’ve passed by a lot, but never had the chance to stop and go in, until now.
Hard to believe we’re now halfway through the year, isn’t it? This month has gone pretty slowly for me, what about you? I think my biggest thing of June was my back problem.
To be honest, when I sat down to write this month’s catch up, I could barely remember what I got up to at all. I actually had to look back at earlier blog posts and check my Google calendar to know what I did!
A couple of days ago, I met up with my friends Rachael and Abi for a very long overdue catch-up!! The last time we hung out together was back in August!!
I’ve been really hankering for some good Thai food, so we decided we were going to go along to Street Thai (in Brighton Square, which is in The Lanes); I’ve been before and absolutely loved it!
Recently I finally got to meet Violet, Lyndsay‘s beautiful little girl. I can’t believe she’s six months old already!! We decided we were going to meet up over brunch, so what better place to do it than the new and improved Redroaster at the bottom of St James’ Street?
I love Lyndsay (Fizzy Peaches). She invites me to food places. That’s my kind of friend. When she invited me to try out the new Mod Pizza* at Brighton Marina and I couldn’t say yes fast enough.
I headed down last Monday and met up with Aine (Honestly Aine), Carrie (One Pleasant Day) and Lauren (Belle du Brighton). Once inside, we met Ange and Ryan as well for an evening of fun and food.
