Lottie London Lipsticks Review

Sometimes I absolutely can’t help myself. I’m a bit of a lucky giveaway winner, I seem to win a lot and I don’t know why. I’m also quite lucky at raffles too, just ask รine ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚ So I’ve put myself on a bit of a ban entering giveaways, especially as I own so many products that I barely use already.

But, when I saw Alice’s giveaway to win four Lottie London #HOLO duo chrome lip lacquers and four Lottie London Slay All Day metallic liquid lipsticks, I fell in love with the colours and promptly forgot all about my ban!! Well, I completely forgot all about it, until I got a notification on Twitter to say I’d won, oops!!

They arrived a few days later and I picked them up on my way to see my parents in Chichester.

First up, the duo chrome glosses. They come in four beautiful shades; from L-R: Goals, Iconic, Twist and Shade.

At ยฃ5.95 (because obviously I was going to check), they’re really not as expensive as I thought they’d be. I honestly thought they’d be more round the ยฃ10 mark!! The website says “these shade-shifting, colour-flipping Duo Chrome Glosses are packed full of rich, high-coverage, multi-dimensional pigments for high impact statements in a flash to leave your pout perfectly patent.”

And damn, they’re absolutely right. The colours are incredibly stunning, they’re super pigmented, moisturising on the lips and have good staying power (as long as you don’t need to eat or drink)! Oh and they smell delicious too; a bit like fruity sweets ๐Ÿ™‚ I love that all the shades look so different on my lips to how they look in the tubes!!

Goals (top left) is a bright pink lip gloss in the tube, but when I applied it to my lips, it came out more as a gorgeous pearlescent pink/purple colour with a hint of blue! I think is definitely my favourite of the glosses.

Iconic (top right) is a purple/pink but is more of a purple/blue shade on my lips.

Twist (bottom left) is a pretty light pink shade and looks more of a champagne gold with subtle pink tones on my lips.

Shade (bottom right) looks purple/brown in the tube but more of a brown/green shimmer when applied to my lips. This shade is a close second favourite (although can you tell I’d had enough of photographing my lips by then? ๐Ÿ˜‚)

Boy Bye, Lit, Shook and Glow Up are the newest Slay All Day liquid lipsticks to hit Lottie London. The difference between these and the regular shades is, they’re all autumnal metallic shades ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜ I mean, it’s not really the weather anymore to be excited about autumn shades, but we all know love a matte liquid lipstick so I was really excited to try these out.

The metallic lipsticks are also available at ยฃ5.95, which again, I think is a great price for the quality ๐Ÿ™‚

They look pretty true to life from tube to lips and they definitely look metallic on the lips. I think my favourite one has to be Boy Bye, closely followed by Lit โ™ฅ๏ธ

I wore Boy Bye (the gorgeous metallic berry shade – top left) on my day out in Arundel with Rosie and Katie. I was really impressed by the staying power and how quickly it dried. It stayed put for most of the day but came off easily enough in the evening when I took my makeup off.

Lit (top right) is a beautiful copper/rose gold shade and I think this also works well as a spring/summer colour too.

Shook (bottom left) is more of a gold colour and, again, it’s also perfect for the warmer months!

Glow Up (bottom right) is a metallic taupe brown and probably the shade I’m least sure about at the moment. It’s perfect for autumn though so I expect I’ll be reaching for it when the weather turns cooler ๐Ÿ˜€

I’d heard of Lottie London before but hadn’t had a chance to check out any of the products, so a quick Google later and I was suitably impressed. Not only are the lip glosses paraben free, they’re also gluten-free and vegan friendly!!

Having said that though, once I received the products and checked them out, it does say on the label that they’re made in China, so I’m not sure they can actually call themselves vegan friendly ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ™
