I’ll be honest, I’m rubbish when it comes to buying clothes. I never know whether the clothes suit me, if the clothes I’ve got on actually go together or if I can even pull off a “trendy outfit”.
I follow a few fashion bloggers on Instagram and I’m always envious about how amazing they look in their clothes!
Just before Brighton Pride last year, I was contacted by Naked Dough, a London-based raw cookie dough company, to see if I wanted to head down and try out some of their new raw cookie dough pots, because they were going to have a stand at the park. Unfortunately I wasn’t able to attend, so they very kindly sent me some of their products (which by the way, were absolutely amazing).
It’s been a while since J and I really bothered with Valentine’s Day. When we first got together he surprised me with a trip to Disneyland Paris (which I’ve written about here) but it sort of all went downhill from there really! I think he peaked too soon and set an impossible standard to match up to 😂😂
The year after, I received some beautiful potted roses and we’ve also done the obligatory box of chocolates but after that, it pretty much dwindled down to getting a takeaway so I didn’t have to cook!!
If I’m being completely honest, I haven’t really felt festive at all this year. So far, I’ve watched 0 Christmas films, made 0 eggnogs, decorated 0 Christmas trees and sung at the top of my voice in the car to 0 Christmas songs. I’m not exactly Scrooge but it’s been really hard to get into the swing of it this year.
I love a good old pamper session, so I was delighted to be invited to the Uniquely Organic Eco Spa in Hove (at 40 Church Road), along with a few other bloggers to check out what they do and to sample one of the treatments for ourselves!
If you didn’t know already, there’s a Brighton Yankee Candle store in the Churchill Square shopping centre (next to Topshop) and I was kindly invited along last week to check out the new Elevation range which won’t be available until September.
Before we got our bookcases, I wasn’t able to have scented candles or wax melts burning away, mostly because we only had low surfaces (like our coffee table) and inevitably, Mr Bear would come along and stick his face right in the wax or the flame!!
I love supporting local and independent businesses, so I was really excited when Joyfuel, a Worthing-based business got in touch, asking if I wanted to check out their products.
I’ve definitely heard of Pago juice before and I’m pretty sure that I’ve seen their distinctive green bottles in bars and cafes around the UK, but I’ve never really thought any more about them. Until now.
I wouldn’t have said I was obsessed with shoes or trainers, but while I was sorting out my wardrobe recently, I realised I owned a hell of a lot more pairs than I thought I did and some that I’d completely forgotten I even owned 😬😬 As it was obvious I wasn’t going to ever wear a lot of them again, I decided to get rid of a load; to charity, to the tip and on Depop!
