Steinbeck And Shaw | Brighton*

Last week I had the opportunity to attend the soft launch of their lastest cocktail bar in Brighton. Located at the bottom of West Street and attached to PRYZM, it honestly feels a million miles away from the usual connotations of “just another West Street bar”. For those of you not from Brighton, think of that one street in your town where you never want to go down at night because it’s full of clubbers, people throwing up and girls dropping chips all over the floor while trying to pull their knickers out of their bums. Just sayin’.

Stop Snacking With Slissie*

I have a “not so secret” secret. I’m a habitual snacker, especially when I’m at work. I start off doing really well and not succumbing to the 11am biscuit. I dutifully drink loads of water and clap myself on the back for doing so well. I eat my somewhat healthy lunch and usually save a clementine for that 3pm slump.

The April Paperhaul Stationery Box*

Firstly, I want to say I’m super sorry that I’m a couple of months late posting this review. All I can say is that it was ridiculously bad planning on my part. That being said, it shouldn’t take away the excitement of the reveal, because who knows, this could be something you’ve not seen before, so I might be introducing you to something entirely new 🙂

The Time I Attempted Watersports*

I’m always up for an adventure and trying out something new; which is why a couple of Thursdays ago, on a beautifully sunny evening, I headed down to Hove Lagoon to spend an evening with the guys at Adventure Connections.  They’re a Brighton-based events management company that organise stag, hen and corporate events and they’d invited some local press and bloggers down for an evening of fun learning how to paddleboard and try out wakeboarding!

My Name Is Girl Book Review*

After reading Rosie’s recent post, “Coffee Table Books You Need In Your Life“, I realised that I don’t actually own any coffee table books. Mostly because we’ve only recently bought a coffee table, but it also kind of feels like a proper grown up thing to have in the house, and I wasn’t sure I was ready for that level of commitment to being an adult just yet.

Wright’s Baking | Carrot Cake Mix Review*

Last month I tried out the chocolate fudge cake mix from Wright’s Baking (if you missed it, you can read about it here). This month I thought I’d try out the carrot cake mix they kindly sent me! I did want to make the next cake the weekend after I’d made the fudge cake, but I’m trying to be a little bit good about not eating too much cake at the moment. It’s bloody boring btw!

Soapbombs Christmas Wishes Gift Set

So remember I said in my Lush post that I hadn’t managed to get any of their Christmas bath bombs? And then I said I’d picked some up from Soapbombs and I was going to do a post on them? … Well I forgot, sorry!! So despite it being so close to February, I thought I’d share these absolutely stunning Christmas-themed bath bombs with you anyway!

Getting Organised With Personal Planner*

When I wrote my blog goals for 2017, I said that I wanted to stay more organised this year, as I found keeping a list of which posts were going out and when really helped me. (Yep, before I started writing them down I had absolutely no clue and often published loads of the same types of posts in a row. Which might work for some people but I love mixing my posts up a bit.)

Trying Out Blog Event Products | Part Two*

Back in November I wrote my first post about trying out some of the products from all the blogger goody bags I got last year! I figured it was a good way to actually remember to try all the lovely things I’d been given, rather than just keeping them in drawers out of the way!

Well since the first post, I’ve been rooting through my chests of drawers (Yes, chests. Plural. I have two chests of drawers full of products!) to find more products to try out. And I thought I’d share with you what I’ve been using for the last couple of months.
