You know when you’re feeling a bit rubbish and you’re not sure why? Well, I love cooking something that’s comforting and, for me, nothing says comforting like a nice big plate of curry and rice!!
Banana Loaf Recipe Review
I really dislike eating bananas. There, I said it. I hate the smell, the taste and the texture.
That being said though, I love those little foam banana sweets, having blended bananas in my morning smoothies and banana loaf. Recently, I bought way too many bananas and instead of them going to waste, I thought I’d put them to good use and make a banana loaf (with a surprise inside!)
Lemon Meringue Pie Recipe Review
Lemon meringue pie is one of my favourite desserts and always reminds me of Sundays spent at my parents’ house having a roast with pudding after. My mum always used to make different puddings every week; I loved her cherry pie and treacle tart too!
Jam and Coconut Sponge Cake Recipe Review
As my cake-making confidence is growing, I thought I’d have another stab at making my own cake (well, I say my own, I mean following someone else’s recipe!) And when the latest newsletter from the Happy Foodie popped into my inbox, one particular recipe caught my eye straight away!
My Favourite Pancake Recipes
If you’re not aware (and I can’t think why on earth you wouldn’t be, unless you’re not from the UK I suppose), it’s only blimmin’ Pancake Day tomorrow!! WHOOP WHOOP!! As you might have guessed, I’m a bit of a pancake fiend. I just absolutely love pancakes. So I thought in celebration of tomorrow, I’d share two of my favourite pancake recipes that you could try out yourselves!
Roasted Vegetable Couscous Recipe | Co-op And SORTEDfood*
For years I’ve been saying that a lot of people just don’t know how (or can’t be bothered) to cook anymore and it’s bloody terrifying. I did a food technology GCSE and instead of learning basic skills like different ways to make eggs or how to cook different meats, (you know all the important life skills), we spent hours learning about how a microwave works. Yeah thanks education, that really came in handy.
Easy Fish Pie Recipe Review
I’m back with my first recipe review post of 2017 and I have to say, it’s a blimmin’ delish fish dish. (I’m not even sorry … Well okay, maybe a little bit. I feel ever so slightly ashamed)
I do love a nice fish pie, especially on a cold winter’s evening, and with a nice bit of garlic bread on the side! I like to make this on a Saturday evening so we can have leftovers on Sunday and I don’t have to cook again #resourceful #lazy
Christmas Pudding Cookies Recipe
Every year my mum makes these amazing Christmas pudding cookies. They taste absolutely incredible and exactly like Christmas pudding, but in cookie form, so I thought I’d share the recipe with you all! (And thanks to my mum for letting me ♥)
Christmas Yule Log Recipe Review
My favourite thing about Christmas has to be yule log. I absolutely love it. Especially with a nice glass of milk! The best kind are the ones with the hard chocolate around them, but to be honest, I’m not too fussy!
I’m pretty sure if I didn’t have this blog there’s no way I would have attempted to try making my own yule log, especially as it’s so easy to buy them, but I do love a challenge!
Chicken Katsu And Curry Recipe Review
I absolutely love chicken Katsu and curry. It’s what I always get when I pop into Kokoro in Brighton. It’s also incredibly easy to make at home if you happen to find an amazing recipe. Which I have 😀
