I really dislike eating bananas. There, I said it. I hate the smell, the taste and the texture.
That being said though, I love those little foam banana sweets, having blended bananas in my morning smoothies and banana loaf. Recently, I bought way too many bananas and instead of them going to waste, I thought I’d put them to good use and make a banana loaf (with a surprise inside!)
I love cake; Victoria sponge, chocolate cake, lemon drizzle, you name it, I’ll be up for eating it! So when Bakerdays* got in touch and asked if I wanted to review their latest idea; the letterbox cake, I couldn’t really say no, could I?
This was the first year I’ve watched The Great British Bake-Off and found it fascinating and inspirational. It was J’s birthday in October and he wanted a Victoria sponge cake with jam and cream. I made him two cakes last year so this year I made his Victoria sponge and decided to try my hand at a Mary Berry cake!
I love the fact that my blog now covers a broader range of subjects because it means I can include posts like this! I absolutely love baking, but I really don’t do it often enough. I thought it’d be fun to find some recipes I want to try out and review them for you!! Plus I’ll be including the recipe so you can make it too if it looks delicious enough 😀
