I’m definitely in the Christmas mood now. We’ve bought our goose for Christmas dinner, there’s the remains of a yule log in the fridge waiting to be eaten (you can see my post about it here) and the house is looking beautifully festive.
However; there is one thing missing, a good old Christmas cocktail. Eggnog cocktails to be more precise, bcause let’s face it, Christmas wouldn’t be the same without them and be honest, who doesn’t love snuggling under a blanket watching Christmas films while drinking eggnog?
Here are a few of my favourite festive eggnog cocktail recipes:
- 35 ml Baileys®
- 1 tbsp caster sugar
- 1 egg
- 75 ml milk
- 1 vvanilla pod
- 1 nutmeg/ground nutmeg
- 1 cinnamon stick to garnish
-
Whisk together the egg and caster sugar in a bowl until it becomes creamy and the sugar begins to dissolve.
-
Add the Baileys® and milk.
-
Cut open the vanilla pod, scrape out seeds with a teaspoon and add to the mixture.
-
Grate in the nutmeg or add a dash of ground nutmeg.
-
With a cocktail strainer (or sieve), strain the mixture into a Cognac glass. (Or any glass you may have that looks awesome.)
-
Add the cinnamon stick, placed inside the glass at an angle. (Bloody supermarkets were ALL out, so I left this part. Plus I’m not really a huge fan of cinnamon in drinks)
This tastes absolutely incredible and I think it’s probably my favourite ever eggnog recipe! It’s so rich, creamy and sweet ♥
Baileys® and Raspberry Eggnog:
- 50ml Baileys®
- 70ml milk
- 20ml Frangelico (available from Amazon)
- 15ml raspberry puree (to make your own, put some raspberries and some sugar in a saucepan and heat gently. Stir until smushy. Leave to cool down before adding to the cocktail)
- 1 egg white
- 2 raspberries to garnish
-
Place all the ingredients in a cocktail shaker
-
Shake thoroughly to combine all the ingredients
-
Add ice to the shaker and shake again
-
Strain into a glass
-
Place 2 raspberries on top to garnish
I’m a sucker for a fruity drink and this one is delicious. The Baileys and Frangelico work so well together and it looks really pretty too 🙂
- 50ml Captain Morgan® Rum
- 1 egg
- 15ml single cream (I used double cream for this as I prefer double cream and we had loads in the fridge!)
- 15ml sugar syrup (you can make your own but I cheated and used some hazelnut sugar syrup I had in the cupboard)
- 60ml milk
-
Nutmeg

-
Fill a cocktail shaker with ice
-
Add Captain Morgan®, the egg, cream, sugar syrup and milk to the cocktail shaker.
-
Shake vigorously until combined.
-
Using a cocktail strainer (or sieve), pour the mixture through and into a tumbler or Martini glass. (Or any cool looking glasses you have at home).
-
Grate over some nutmeg or add a dash of ground nutmeg on top.
This cocktail is great for any rum lovers out there although I used Spiced Gold instead because J prefers that one.
I’m so excited to make more Christmas cocktails now. I really wanna try the Baileys® hot chocolate, spiced cider and Christmas punch because they sound absolutely delicious 🙂

They all sound so good I don’t know where to start. Christmas isn’t Christmas without eggnogg.

Start at the top and work your way down 😂😂
These all sound yum! Although I must be one of the few that likes their eggnog hot! I’ll give these a try warmed up (although maybe not the raspberry one, that one sounds like it’d be better cold!)
I’ve never tried hot eggnog, I might have to try it but I hate hot milk! Yeah, the raspberry one is definitely better cold!!
Nothing I like better than drink suggestions! This sounds fab! ^_^
Ahaha, glad I could help then 🙂 They’re all amazing but I think the Baileys and vanilla one is my fave 🙂 x
