It’s hard to believe we’re already at the end of November! I’m not a massive fan of this time of year; I just find it so dark and miserable. I feel like I’m just waiting for April to come when it’ll start to get warmer! Anyone else?
Here’s what I got up to during November π
Food:
I went out to brunch with some lovely women; Rachie, Katie, Sarah, Megan, Hannah and Beth β€οΈ (plus Rachie’s gorgeous little boy, Ezra!)
We went to Baked in Hove and reserved a table downstairs, I’d never been before, it’s so cute and cosy down there! I went for the pancakes with maple syrup and bacon, it was absolutely delicious and I definitely need another trip there soon to check out more of their amazing looking food!
My wonderful friend Fiona came to visit Brighton one Saturday and, after mooching around town for a while, we stopped at Wagamama where we both went for their chicken katsu curry!
I also bought a couple of chocolate orange cupcakes from Cloud 9 bakery that day for me and J to have for pudding π
I was very kindly invited to the launch of The Canna Kitchen in Brighton, the UK’s first cannabis-infused restaurant and a full review will be up on the blog soon π This is one of their food bowls!
Purchases:
I bought a couple of pins this month (oops) but have been quite good in not buying anything else. I didn’t bother with Black Friday or Cyber Monday because there was nothing I wanted!!
This little quill and ink is from Nutmeg and Arlo and the Christmas pudding pin is from Doodles by Ben!
Blogging:
It’s been a bit quiet on the old blogging front as I’ve struggled to write. That being said, I’ve had some incredible blogger mail recently, including a set of beautiful stationery from Quadrille Books, a packet of make your own raw cookie dough from Naked Dough, some amazing products to help me stay healthy during winter from Sparkle PR (including these cute blackcurrant throat pastilles) and a cute new hairbrush from Hair Secretz π β€οΈI can’t wait to tell you more about everything in more detail!!
Home and garden:
We decided to move our lounge round again and I’m still trying to decide if I like it or not!! We still need to fill in holes, sand and decorate the lounge, it’s a very slow process.
The best of the rest:
Fiona got me a few very lovely belated birthday presents and they were obviously Harry Potter themed!! She got me a chocolate frog which I ate before taking photos, a chocolate frog key ring and a Slytherin pin ππππ
Finally, don’t forget to check out my lovely advertisers:
The Valkyries are a group of fearless ladies (talking all things nerdy! If you’re into Harry Potter, Doctor Who, comics, cosplay and other nerdy things, you definitely need to check out the Valkyries blog β€οΈβ€οΈ
Kathleen is a premium skin care brand with a passion for all things natural and organic. They have an incredible range of products and I’ve reviewed the Illuminating Serum, the Sonic Facial Cleanser and their brand new shower gels and body oils on my blog π

That Christmas pudding pin is adorable! I also donβt like how dark and miserable it is this time of year, but I do love Christmas though… apart from the inevitable mince pie weight gain
I love it, it’s so cute!
I love the food at Christmas ππ
You’ve done it again, made me crave all that delicious food. The cannabis infused restaurant sounds interesting, will definitely be reading your review on that! Glad you and Fiona had a wonderful time together.
