Influenster UK The Max Factor VoxBox*

I absolutely adore lipsticks (after not owning or wearing any for years) and honestly can’t get enough of them; nudes, brights, darks, mattes and glosses, you name it, I’ve got it!

I’m always on the look out for new ones but I rarely have time to browse for hours as there are so many to choose from!!

So I was thrilled when recently received a random email from Influenster, a fab US website that sends out free products every month in return for reviews and social media shares, saying that Áine had given my email address to be in with a chance of being considered to review one of their Max Factor VoxBoxes, as they’re now offering their services to the UK!

I did wonder about the validity of it, but a quick check with Áine (because sometimes things that seem too good to be true usually are) and all was good! I simply had to sign up to the Influenster website and wait to see if I was accepted for the monthly campaign. The only stipulation to be part of Influenster is that you need to be willing to share photos and reviews of the products on social media; the more the better!! Perfect for a blogger who loves sharing photos of makeup products 😀

A week or so later, the Max Factor VoxBox was delivered to my door and inside was a Max Factor Colour Elixir Lipstick (in the shade Mulberry), Max Factor Honey Lacquer (in the shade Honey Nude) and a Max Factor Colour Elixir Universal Lip Liner. I didn’t get a choice of colours, it was entirely random but I’m honestly super happy with the ones I got 🙂

I couldn’t wait to try them out!! First up is the Colour Elixir Lipstick (retailing for £7.99), and omg how gorgeous is this colour?!? It’s a really deep red, with an almost marbled effect.

It’s designed to improve lip moisture to achieve a smoother surface in just one week, as it contains “shea, avocado and aloe butters, as well as anti-oxidant white tea” and boy did it deliver!! It really made my lips feel super moisturised and soft. The colour stayed on really well even after drinking coffee and eating lunch. I think this is going to be one of my go-to autumn/winter lipsticks this year ♥

Up next is the Max Factor Honey Lacquer (retailing for £9.99) which is in a three-in-one product. It gives you the pigmented colour of a lipstick, all the shine of a gloss and the softness of a lip balm. I really loved the colour and pigmentation of this lacquer but it felt way too sticky for me 🙁

It’s definitely a product to wear when I’ve got my hair up and out of the way, because no one wants lip lacquer hair! This one didn’t last as long on the lips and I found I had to re-touch it a few times throughout the day. Honestly? I wasn’t a massive fan of this, which is a shame because I absolutely adore the colour!! 🙁

Last up is the Max Factor Colour Elixir Universal Lip Liner (retailing for £4.99). It’s a transparent lip liner allowing you to use it with any lip colour to prevent colour bleeds and smudging. It pretty much does what it says on the tin. It works really well and preventing bleeding throughout the day, although later in the afternoon there was a tiny bit of bleed through. Overall though, I was pretty impressed 🙂
Have you tried any of these Max Factor products yet? Which is your favourite shade? Let me know in the comments below 🙂 x
