Zoella Beauty Review

Honestly, sometimes I feel like I’m in one of those anonymous meetings; Hi, I’m Holly, I’m 31 and I absolutely love a lot of the Zoella beauty products. There; I’ve said it.

Now we’ve got that out of the way, I want to talk about some of my favourite Zoella Beauty products I’ve picked up recently.

Scrubbing Me Softly: This gorgeous body scrub smells of Acai and blueberries but it’s not too over-powering, which I love. It’s not a harsh scrub so it doesn’t leave my skin looking all red like other scrubs have done in the past. Afterwards it leave my skin feeling so soft, smooth and smelling absolutely delicious!Β This is a re-purchase for me because I bought my first one not that long ago and it’s all gone already! I’ve also heard that some of the products in the Tutti Fruity collection, has been or is about to be discontinued so I accidentally stocked up (I bought 5. No YOU have a problem!)

Fizz Bar: The packaging is really cute with pink polka dots and lace. You open it up to a big white bar with 8 cubes you break off to add under running water. It looks a bit like a bar of chocolate, which is such a lovely idea. (There is a warning on the packaging not to eat it though!)

This is the part where I’m going to get a little ranty though. There are two keywords to describe this Fizz Bar; fizz and white. The amount of complaining, moaning comments on various websites saying that the water didn’t look different or the bar fizzed a bit and that was it, was astonishing. I’ll say it again; it’s a white fizz bar. I’m not sure why people seem to expect a bath bomb explosion and loads of magical colours swirling around like a unicorn vomiting into the bath, but they did. If that’s the kind of deal you’re after, then pop to Lush or Miss Patisserie and buy a coloured bath bomb!! However, if you’re after a lovely, subtle-smelling bath that leaves your skin feeling so soft it’s like you’ve been booped all over by marshmallows, then this is the fizz bar for you.

Let’s Spritz:Β This is a weird one for me. The first time I wore it, I got a migraine, so it put me off a little. But I tried it again and I was completely fine πŸ™‚ I adore the packaging because the lid is covered in little polka dots and the glass bottle has a beautiful white lace design on the back. I really like the smell and unlike other spritzs, you can smell it pretty much all day long. It’s part of the Tutti Fruity range and itΒ smells like raspberries and Cassis. Apparently. I’ve never smelt Cassis so I wouldn’t have a clue.

I’m now eyeing up the hand cream and the reed diffuser! It’s not long till my birthday. *hint hint* (and okay, my birthday’s not actually until August, but I like to plan early πŸ˜€ :D) *edit* I now own both these items! Happy days!!

  2. You’ve really made me want to buy all these things now! I hate the coloured bath bombs (some look like poo) so this sounds right up my alley 😊

    1. I love the look of the coloured bombs but the smell is generally too overpowering! Gimme subtle scents any day 😊

  3. I wasn’t much of a fan of the first scent, but I love the Tutti fruity scent. I have the body mist and really want to snap up the scrub before it goes out of stores forever. I always find it really embarrassing looking at the Zoella stand in superdrug haha.

    1. I haven’t smelt the first one I don’t think. My local Superdrugs are pretty rubbish so I bought more from Feel Unique! πŸ˜€

  4. I loved this! I have yet to try them, and part of me is like “don’t buy in to the hype” but I like how you have described how smooth your skin is after using all the products. Excuse me whilst I maybe go and try a Zoella product (for my sins!)

    1. I hate buying into the hype; I’ll never own a Kylie Lip Kit for example, but the Zoella products are at least accessible and affordable … And I think they’re lovely πŸ™‚ Let me know how you get on x

      1. I will most definitely let you know if I do. It’ll be interesting, my skin can be funny, so get annoyed easily if I don’t see results! I have very dry skin.

    1. Ahaha, the only reason people hate the Fizz Bar is because Zoe is well-known for her love of a Lush bath bomb and I think people had expectations that her bath products would emmulate that!
Or just say you’re buying it for her, if you get embarrassed πŸ˜€ x

  6. I love this review – Im so glad someone else agrees and likes these products as much as me! <3 I'd happily repurchase Fizz bar and the scrub! xx

  7. I personally love Let’s Spritz, I’ve actually just ran out so I’m going to have to run to superdrug at some point this weekend and try to get my hands on one! It’s perfect for the summer I think πŸ™‚

  8. Haha I love the beginning of this post, I also feel like Zoella’s beauty range is mainly aimed at teenagers although I secretly really want to her products. The fizz bar sounds amazing, I actually prefer subtle smells so I think this one would be for me. xx

    1. Thank you πŸ™‚ If you don’t like over-powering scents then the fizz bar is definitely a good choice πŸ™‚ xx

  9. That Spritz smells amazing!! I don’t often admit liking the Zoella range as every time I go buy something it’s surrounded by teenagers 😫

    1. I know they’re on sale at Feel unique and or Superdrug are doing a lot of 3 for 2 products the moment: πŸ™‚ x

  10. Ha ha I can totally understand your fizz bar frustrations so many people want a spectacular, colour and bubble filled bathing experience that they forget to take notice of what’s in it, even some of the best Lush bath bombs don’t have much colour! The ingredients however… 😍 Maybe we’re more laid back because of our age lol

  11. Great review. These look super cute and sound lovely. Whatever bath/shower products I use from now on I shall get the giggles thinking of a unicorn vomiting! πŸ™‚
