What’s In My Make-Up Bag? | Part One

What's in my make-up bag?

I’ve seen so many of these, mostly because I’m really nosey about what other people own, so I go looking for them.  I hope you’re nosey too?  I’ve broken my make-up bag/box into sections and this part I’ll show you the products I wear on my face.

Estée Lauder Double Wear Light foundation (0.5) – I bought this in June and it’s the first foundation I’ve ever owned (yes really!!)  I always found that foundations dried my skin out too much when testing them out in shops or small patches of my face went a lovely shade of orange.  I bought it because my best friend got married in June and I wanted a flawless “photo face”.  This, in my opinion, definitely delivers and is well worth the £30 price tag.  Now summer has hit, I tend to mix it with moisturiser first for a really light coverage.

Estée Lauder Brush-On Glow BB Highlighter (1C light cool) – Well it would have been rude not to buy this with the foundation, right??  I do actually use this a lot, especially for blemishes and under eye dark circles!!  I’d possibly buy a cheaper version when it runs out, but I’d have to compare what’s out there already.  What’s your favourite concealer?

Rimmel Fix and Protect Primer (002) – I first bought this a couple of years ago and bought more every time it ran out.  It feels really soft and smooth when being applied to your face and it smells quite nice too. I find that I wear it without foundation quite a lot.

Estée Lauder Illuminating Perfecting Primer – Another accidental impulse purchase pre-wedding!  I do like it, but to be honest, it’s a bit too expensive for what it is and my Rimmel primer works just as well!  The only difference really is that the Rimmel is a matte primer and the E.L has a bit of a shimmer to it.

Estée Lauder Pure Colour Blush (10: Lover’s Blush) – I bought this at the same time as the foundation and it was a massive impulse buy.  Much like foundation, I’ve never used blush (despite owning several vile shades in cheap palettes.  You know the ones, with weird eyeshadow shades, a few blushes and some really sticky lip glosses!)  After I got it home, I didn’t think I’d really use it except for the wedding, how wrong was I?  I actually wear it quite a bit and often without foundation on, it looks really natural and gives me a hint of subtle colour!  I’m not sure I’d necessarily buy any again once it runs out, but while I have it, I shall certainly be putting it to good use.

So there it is, all the face make-up I own (at the moment!)  There’s definitely an E.L theme going on, but my friend is a lover of their products and she figured it would be better to take me to a counter where they can offer advice, rather than let me loose in the aisles at Boots or Superdrug!

I shall post part two soon!

Do you have any of the same make-up, is there anything in there that you’ve been wanting to own or try out? x
