Veeda Natural Sanitary Products*

Veeda* wasn’t a brand I was aware of before, but after reading more about them, I was keen to get involved as they make 100% cotton, hypo-allergenic and toxin-free tampons.

Yep, 100% natural. No chemicals. No fragrances. No dyes. Which means they’re bloody (I made a pun. A bad pun. A period pun) expensive, right? Nope. They’re actually pretty much on par with or cheaper than the leading brands and a lot cheaper than the only other 100% cotton tampons I could find in Boots (that’s where you can currently buy Veeda tampons and pads).

So how do they compare? Honestly? They don’t look any different and they certainly don’t feel any different, ya know, in the place where they’re meant to be. But using them did give me a smug feeling, like my vagina was all superior because it only has organic! I was a bit surprised it didn’t order a soy latte from Starbucks.

Joking aside though, Veeda not only make natural tampons, they also set up a fund. This is what their website says:

At Veeda, we’ve created the 360° Care Fund to give disadvantaged women and children around the world the best opportunity to live healthier, fuller lives. We provide financial, material, educational, childcare, psychological, and moral support to those who need it most.

They also have a goal to donate 1 million tampons a year, to womens’ organisations in need. Not only that, but the company was set up by two men helping out a friend who couldn’t find any natural products while she was travelling!

I’m definitely going to be making the switch to Veeda tampons, are you? Let me know your thoughts in the comments section below 🙂 x

  1. I hadn’t even thought about tampons not being natural. Definitely worth it I think! xx

  2. I used to avoid tampons at alllll costs because my Mum’s friend shoved one up there and SOMEHOW forgot about it. How on Earth? Anyway, she ended up getting surgery and because I was super young that mortified me beyond belief but reading this post makes me really want to give them a shot :’) … again, haha!
