The Liebster Award | Take 2

I’m currently trying to sort out some personal bits in my life so blogging is taking a bit of a back seat this week (apart from a fun event I’m going to tonight), so in the meantime, enjoy getting to know me a bit better! Thanks to Jamie Leigh for nominating me 🙂

1) Favourite blog topics to read?
This is so hard, I love a wide variety of topics, but I think my favourite ones are personal, rambly lifestyle posts; especially from Dorkface and Hannah Gale.

2) What is your favourite drugstore product and why?
At the moment, I’d have to say my Sleek brow kit, I can’t leave the house without it!favbrowkit
3) What is the best advice you’ve ever received (blogging or life in general)?
The the negative people in your life go. Surround yourself with people who lift you up not drag you down!!
4) Coffee or Tea?
Definitely a lovely cup of coffee; it’s the only thing that gets me out of bed in the morning at the moment!Coffee.jpg
5) Favourite School memory?
I was a bit of a rebel at school, but not enough to ever get into trouble. I do remember the time me and my best friend Sarah hid across the road in a shed and were caught having a sneaky cigarette by the vice principal 😀 #oops!
6) First celebrity crush?
Leo Di Caprio! I watched him in Romeo and Juliet and thought he was not only ridiculously handsome but incredibly talented too!
7) Would you rather delete all of your blog posts and start from scratch or never be able to blog again? (and why?)
Oooh, I think I’d probably rather re-write everything; especially the first couple of months, they were pretty atrocious 😀
8) Your go to party song?
Depends if it’s a getting ready song – then it’s usually some sort of 90’s pop cheese. Think Britney Spears, N*Sync, Backstreet Boys, B*Witched etc.
9) Favourite place you’ve ever been?
The USA. I was getting over a bad break-up and went out there on my own for 3 weeks; it was the first real taste of freedom I’d ever had. I got to see the most amazing things and went to New York, Washington D.C, New Orleans, LA and San Francisco. Here’s me after having walked the entire length of the Golden Gate Bridge!

10) What is the best thing blogging has done for you?
It’s given me confidence to go to places on my own and meet people, it’s also allowed me to make new friends, which seems really hard after turning 30. I’ve also loved improving my writing a photography skills.
11) What advice would you give to a brand new blogger?
Write whatever the hell you want to write and don’t feel you have to pigeonhole yourself. Be kind, be polite, be inspiring.
Let me know some of your answers to these questions in the comments below 🙂 x

  1. HELL YEAH! To the backstreet boys I was such a fan! Concerts, posters the works 😄😄 I love the fact that blogging has made you more confident! Anything that opens people up to their full potential makes me smile. I defo agree with the making friends! It becomes harder to make brand new friendships as you get older and blogging really does helpx

    1. I liked them but I loved Boyzone more!
Yeah, at first I hated getting my camera out for anything in public, now I just get on with it! X
