Where the hell did September go? I’m sure a couple of weeks ago it was still light out about 8:30, now it’s pitch black. Autumn is definitely here now.
Getting Lippy With Smashbox*
Last weekend the We Are Thirty Plus group were all invited up to the Smashbox* Headquarters in London to check out their new lipstick range; Be Legendary which boasts an astounding 120 different shades to choose from!
I went up with Áine (who made a vlog about it and I feature in it, so worth checking out just for that. I honestly wish she’d learn to film my best side though!)
Sleek Eau La La Liner Review
Because I’m still pretty new to experimenting with makeup, I somehow seem to own pretty much every eyeliner type there is; I have gel, pencil, liquid and pen eyeliners. If you can name it, I’ve got it and tried it because I’m still searching for that one eyeliner I can use easily without getting frustrated because it’s coming out wrong.
Some I’ve loved and some I’ve really hated. Maybe one day I’ll do a post on the ones I really didn’t like and why.
Big Blogger Expo 2016
Two weeks ago I met up with the brilliant Aine (Honestly Aine) in London and we made our way to the Danubis Hotel in Regent’s Park for the Big Blogger Expo 2016. (Although we obviously stopped at 221B Baker Street too, because it would be rude not to!)
The Big Blogger Expo was set up by Lauren from Blonde Vision (who also runs Ldnmeetup) and it’s a great way to network with brands and bloggers.
Sleek Solstice Highlighting Palette
So I’m a little bit beyond excited about being able to write this post. I’ve been trying to get my hands on the Solstice palette for ages but it’s been out of stock in all my local Boots and Superdrug stores every single time. Booo; not cool guys! And yeah, I know I could be a normal person and just buy the palette online, but I love going into a shop, getting to look at them all and choosing the one that doesn’t have grubby finger marks all over it. Plus there’s the added bonus of not having to pay any p&p and being able to take it home and try it out there and then!
July Favourites 2016
Holy crap, July is over already. I’m okay with that though as August is going to be a massive month for me; it’s my birthday, my blog birthday AND it’s The Girl Gang Event as well. WHOOP WHOOP!! It’s also the first time in absolutely ages that I’ve remembered to do a monthly favourites, so big high five for me 😀
Make-Up of the Day | July 2016
Last week when I went to The Maker Club event with Tania, her face was so absolutely flawless, I begged her to let me in on her secret. It was Too Faced’s Born This Way foundation! I was all over that and I forced her to Debenhams so I could get colour-matched. Aaaand they were out of stock. So I bought some online and picked it up last Wednesday.
The Body Shop Shade Adjusting Drops Review*
Back in March I was invited to The Body Shop in Brighton to help celebrate their 40th birthday! I came away with a lovely goody bag; including their two foundation shade adjusting drops! I’d been dying to test them out ever since I’d seen them but hadn’t quite got around to buying them!
Collection Contour Kit Review
Back in February, I bought this contour kit from Collection but I only tried it once and then shoved it in my make-up drawer to gather dust. I decided I couldn’t get on with it and that I’d never learn how to use it properly; especially as I was using a blusher brush because I didn’t actually own a contour brush. Yeah, I know right? What kind of beauty blogger am I??
April Favourites 2016
It’s been a while since I’ve done one of these; mostly because I hadn’t really bought anything for a few months. But it’s back and there are some things I’ve been absolutely loving!
