Sunday is definitely a beach day

So today I’m not doing any house renovation (it’s at a slight standstill at the moment but I’ll go into that another time!). I had a lovely morning with J, making pancakes and eating them on our newly cleared table! We keep accumulating junk on it, but now it looks lovely.  I wonder how long that’ll last.

Making pancakes:

This afternoon I went to the beach with my best friend! A hectic work/home life means I’ve not seen her for ages, so it was lovely to catch up.  The only thing I don’t like about Brighton beach is the pebbles, although it does mean you on’t get sand in weird places! I burn so easily so I’m glad I remembered to pack my factor 50 sunscreen, no one likes the lobster look!

I won’t really be doing any fashion photos as I’m crap at putting outfits together or knowing which colours go, I usually have to ask J, he’s good at it! But today, I wore a pretty butterfly dress I got from Matalan in the sale, my impulse hat purchase from Fashion Temple in North Laine and my sandals! The bag is also from Matalan and fits so much stuff in it!

Eating red velvet cupcakes (from Morrison’s):
We even went swimming in the sea! The cold, seaweedy English sea! It was really lovely but my hair feels like straw now.

What’s your idea of a lovely day out? Do you prefer the beach, the park, a café, the pub or somewhere else? X

  1. the beach the beach!! preferably with a picnic – and my tip for the pebbles is a really good pair of sandals that Velcro on and are waterproof – that way you can walk, run, play and swim in them, and those stones never have to be a pain again.
