Style Freedom Dry Shampoo Review*

I absolutely love dry shampoo; it’s probably one of the best things that’s ever happened to the beauty world (apart from highlighters) and I couldn’t ever be without it. I’ve tried loads of different ones over the years from those cheap ones that cost about ยฃ1 to one that set me back a whopping ยฃ22!! (In my defence though, it smelt absolutely incredible, but I shan’t ever be spending that much again!)ย

The one that I’ve been reaching for all the time for the last few months though this little beauty from Style Freedom!

As per the norm, the Style Freedom dry shampoo is designed to remove all the dirt, grease and oil from your hair and helps to keep your style looking fresh.

*Pro* tip one – I tend to spray this on at night just before bed to really let it work it’s magic. Then I use a tiny bit more the next morning, just in case I managed to miss any sections of hair.

I’ve also found that the Style Freedom dry shampoo doesn’t really leave as much of that white powder all over my hair as other dry shampoos. This means I don’t need to spend as much time brushing it out (sometimes with my fingers), which is a super bonus as we’ve already established that I’m pretty lazy!

Once I’ve brushed or run my fingers through my hair, I simply style it as usual. On a dry shampoo day that normally means a ponytail or a messy bun and a little plait for my slightly-too-long fringe ๐Ÿ™‚

It has an incredibly subtle fragrance to it which I prefer, because it doesn’t scream “THIS LADY HASN’T BOTHERED WASHING HER HAIR TODAY” at people ๐Ÿ˜€ I’m not a fan of the really flowery dry shampoos as they tend to be too perfumed and make me feel slightly nauseated :/

*Pro* tip two – When I actually make an effort to style my hair nicely (and by that I mean either straighten it or curl it and leave it down lol), I tend to find that I play with it and touch it a hell of a lot more. This leads to my hair looking greasy much more quickly, so I tend to spray some dry shampoo into my roots just before I start styling it. That way, it not only holds the style fantastically, but it keeps my hair looking freshly washed all day long ๐Ÿ™‚

If you’re looking for a dry shampoo that works really well and doesn’t smell too obviously like a dry shampoo, then I’d highly recommend this one. It is slightly pricier than other dry shampoos at ยฃ7.99, but a 200ml can has lasted me about 4 months and I still have some left!!

The Style Freedom dry shampoo is available at Superdrug and they currently have a 2 for ยฃ10 deal on selected Style Freedom products ๐Ÿ˜€ (correct at the time of publishing).

If you’re a Brighton resident or coming to Brighton on holiday anytime soon, there’s a new Superdrug at the train station and it’s well worth going to visit. They have loads of Style Freedom products and make-up stands from the likes of GOSH, Nip+Fab, Sleek and Elf!! There’s also a dedicated perfume counter too ๐Ÿ˜€

  1. As always, I’m obsessed with your photography, Holly! I am really impressed that this one can has lasted you so many months, that does make it worth the ยฃ7.99 price tag! I hadn’t actually thought of using dry shampoo the night before, that’s an excellent tip and something I’ll definitely be using! Thanks for sharing such an in-depth review!
