Sleek Solstice Highlighting Palette

So I’m a little bit beyond excited about being able to write this post. I’ve been trying to get my hands on the Solstice palette for ages but it’s been out of stock in all my local Boots and Superdrug stores every single time. Booo; not cool guys! And yeah, I know I could be a normal person and just buy the palette online, but I love going into a shop, getting to look at them all and choosing the one that doesn’t have grubby finger marks all over it. Plus there’s the added bonus of not having to pay any p&p and being able to take it home and try it out there and then!

If you haven’t seen the hype surrounding this, this is the beautiful Sleek Solstice highlighting palette. It come with four different highlighters, a mini brush and a handy mirror. As you can see, they’ve also done away with their usual black packaging for this gorgeous gold look, which I think makes the product seem really luxurious ๐Ÿ™‚

So why are there four different highlighters in the palette and what are they all for?

The top left shade is the Ecliptic which is a soft, creamy highlighter and is designed to highlight the brow bone area (just under your eyebrows.)

Next to that on the top rightย is Hemisphere, a stunning purple baked highlighter for your cheekbones. Don’t worry if it looks scary though, it doesn’t actually look purple when it’s on your cheeks! I promise ๐Ÿ˜€

On the bottom left is Subsolar , a soft, buttery cream coloured powder highlighter for highlighting down the middle of your nose.

And finally, on the bottom right is Equinox. This is another baked highlighter, but this time in a warm orange shade, which is perfect for highlighting your cupid’s bow (the bit just above your top lip).

I’m so excited to try this palette out properly, because as you can see, even the swatches are super pigmented and so, so shiny! I think that Equinox is my favourite colour out of all these though, it’s just so beautiful โ™ฅ

ย Here’s a quick pic of me with some of the Equinox cheek highlighter on!

Sleek also do two different versions of this palette; the Cleopatra’s Kiss which unsurprisingly features a lot of rich gold tones and the Precious Metals palette which is more brown with hints of gold. They also have a limited edition palette called Mida’s Touch which includes a beautiful grey and a dark blue highlighter in it. I don’t know whether this one is still available or not, but you could always check the Sleek website. The highligher palettes are ยฃ9.99 in stores or ยฃ10 on the website, which I think is actually pretty reasonable!

(I also happened to buy twoย  Solstice palettes, because there was a 3 for 2 offer in Superdrug, and I’m going to give one away in my blog birthday giveaway so stay tuned for that!!)

Have you tried the Sleek Solstice Highlighting Palette or any of their other ones yet? If not, what’s your favourite highlighter? Let me know what you thought in the comments below ๐Ÿ™‚ x
