Rosina’s Lotions And Potions Review*

Given my love of potions, of course I was going to be intrigued by a company with the word potions in their name!!

Although, they don’t sell actual potions, it’s all beauty products 😀

I was very kindly sent this beautiful box from Rosina’s Lotions and Potions filled with goodies to review!

Can we first talk about how beautiful the box is please? I’m definitely going to keep it and probably use it as a pretty keepsake box 🙂

Inside the box was a rose scented candle, a kale and pomegranate exfoliating face mask, a bath bomb, some rose perfecting oil and a cute little flannel for my face 🙂

Unfortunately we can’t use our bath at the moment (there’s a crack in the bottom) so I can’t try the Rose Petal Bath Bomb and let you know what it’s like 🙁 It does look like it would be super pretty though, especially as there are real rose petals on it! The bath bomb is only £4 which is pretty similar to other bath bombs I’ve bought before 🙂

The Signature Candle smells gorgeous with a lovely strong aroma of tuber rose (from the rose essential oil). The wax is an incredibly pretty pink shade and is going to look lovely on our new KALLAX unit, once we get it up! It’s all hand-poured too and comes with one wick and a lid 🙂

The candle is paraben and GMO free and is made from natural ingredients.

The 30cl candle costs £20 and the 9cl is £12. I have to admit as I don’t really buy candles, I don’t really know if this is good or not? I also haven’t burned it yet because it’s too pretty so I don’t know how strong the fragrance is when it’s burning.

The packaging on the Kale and Pomegranate Exfoliating Face Mask is absolutely stunning; I love the gorgeous stripes and flowers design!

It’s a multi-mask treatment; it’s a cleanser, mask and facial all in one! The phyto-active pomegranate enzymes in the mask help to exfoliate the skin, leaving it looking brighter while vitamins C and K can help to minimise  damage caused by stress, pollution and free-radicals!

To use as a cleanser, you just apply to a damp face and massage gently in, washing it off afterwards. For the mask, you apply a generous layer of product and leave for 3-5 mins. Finally, to use the product as a facial, you first use it to cleanse, then apply as a mask 😀

The scent of the product is something I can’t quite put my finger on, there’s definitely more of a savoury feel to it but I really like it!

Although I knew it was an exfoliating mask, I was still surprised to see something similar to a certain “apricot scrub” coming out of the tube. It definitely doesn’t feel as abrasive though, which is great news for skin 🤣

It did tingle a little while it was on my skin, but after washing it off, my face felt incredibly soft and smooth! It’s definitely made my skin feel brighter and better 🙂

At £25 for 50ml, it’s definitely one of the most expensive face masks I’ve ever had and, although it’s lovely, it’s probably not something I’d repurchase as it’s way out of my usual price range.

Rosina’s Rose Perfecting Oil has been designed to suit all face types and really packs a punch with Helianthus, Argan Oil and Rosa Damascena inside!! The bottle also makes me think of actual potions so I’ll be keeping it for my Harry Potter shelf when I’ve used it all up 😂😂

It’s a really subtle rose scent which I love and I’m not one for heavily perfumed products on my face. It’s a lovely thick oil (I hate runny oils) and easily sinks into skin in seconds. I was a little worried about putting oil on my face as my T-zone especially can get quite oily, but it’s been fine with no adverse reactions at all!! This little bottle will set you back £22, but that’s not too bad compared to some oils I’ve seen!

A massive thank you to Rosina’s Lotions and Potions for send me this wonderful box of treats ❤️❤️
