As I mentioned in my smoky eye look post, I really need to practice applying eyeliner (liquid and gel) to my top lash line and also the flick/wing at the end. I do often cheat and use Kohl liner first to make the line, then draw over it with gel or liquid. Does anyone else do that too or are you all awesome eyeliner experts? 😀 I’ve found some different tutorials which I’m going to attempt to copy and see which ones are easy or difficult to follow.
So today I’m not doing any house renovation (it’s at a slight standstill at the moment but I’ll go into that another time!). I had a lovely morning with J, making pancakes and eating them on our newly cleared table! We keep accumulating junk on it, but now it looks lovely. I wonder how long that’ll last.
So as promised, I’ve just finished my first attempt at recreating a make-up tutorial I found on Pinterest. I wanted to do this because there are so many tutorials out there and a lot of the vidoes/blog/photos assume that we know all the terms and have all the right brushes and kit etc. I find that I use a lot of baby wipes/make-up remover when I’m trying a new look as it always goes a bit awry, but no one really shows that part or the hours of practice it takes. So if you’re not very confident at putting on make-up or it never really looks like it should, don’t worry, you are not alone 🙂
Well we’re thoroughly into August now, but as I’m new to blogging, I thought I’d share the things I bought and loved in July. Everything I bought is linked (UK sites) so if you see something you like, you know where to buy it 🙂
I always feel that art can really change a house into a home and give it a personal touch. That being said, I’ve never really been in a position to buy art before (posters from magazines definitely don’t count!).
For months now I’ve been coveting the prints by a lovely local Brighton artist, Linda Boucher (located in Kings Road Arches in Brighton, near the Pier) and I decided I was going to treat myself to one as an early birthday present.
Hey everyone, I’m Closingwinter (a random name given to me when logging on to my Xbox for the first time and it’s now firmly stuck!) I wanted to start a blog so I have somewhere to share my journeys and a place to meet like-minded people. I’m currently learning how to do make-up properly (for my own personal interest) so I’ll be sharing links of tutorials I found helpful and also attempting to recreate them and posting the results. I’ll also be sharing what make-up I have and what I’m coveting.
