I think we all know by now that I’m nosey, I love reading posts about what products other bloggers use. I’ve recently started having a skincare regime just before bed so I figured if I share mine, you might share yours so I can pick up some new tips 🙂
I’m totally a fall out of bed in the morning, throw on some clothes and eat breakfast and drink a vat of coffee at the office kinda girl, so I have a shower before I go to bed because I can’t be bothered to wash my hair in the morning!
After I get out of the shower, I wrap my hair in a towel so it at least dries a little, because let’s face it, there’s nothing worse than a soggy pillow 🙁 Well there are lot of things worse than that but soggy fabric on my face is pretty high up there for me!
I brush my teeth and then clean my face, because I can’t clean my teeth sexily or neatly like the girls in the adverts do, I’m that girl who manages to get toothpaste all down her chin. Every. Single. Time. Not even kidding.
I use the Garnier Micellar Water to clean my face and then I clean it again because once doesn’t seem to be enough; even though I use a new cotton pad there’s still dirt and makeup the second time around. I wonder if this means I should be cleansing my face with something more effective? Any recommendations?
Once my face is dry, I dab a little Eau Thermale Avène Physiolift Eyes (read my previous post about Avène here) round my eyes, paying special attention to the corners, because I have enough skin problems without needing to think about crow’s feet right now, I’m only 31 for crying out loud! I then use the Eau Thermale Avène Physiolift regenerating night balm on the rest of my face, always applying it in upward strokes.
Yep that’s pretty much it; a whole three products! Once I’ve finished with my face, I brush my hair into a ponytail to keep it away from my face during the night and get into bed!
What’s your night time regime like? Do you use any products you swear by? Let me know in the comments below 🙂 x

Agreed! I’ve not tried the L’Oreal one yet though xx

Thank you lovely! I’ve heard so many good things about Liz Earle 🙂 x
I’ve heard amazing things about the Liz Earle hot cloth cleanser (something like that?) and I know it’s easily available in the UK x
Ooh thank you, I’ll have to check that out 😊 x
I recently added the Garnier Micellar Water to my makeup removal routine, and find it to be pretty effective, though I always cleanse with a face wash afterwards to ensure that absolutely all traces are off! I have a post on my makeup removal routine if you’re interested: http://lovefrommaira.co.uk/post/140579199094/removing-makeup-is-possibly-my-least-favourite

Thank you 😊 I’ll give it a read when I’m feeling better! X
i use Micellar as everything else brings me out in a rash. I’m currently trying to exfoliate every day as well…well I say that…I WAS doing it till we started prepping for the move and now I just grunt, throw Micellar on my face and pass out.
What were you using to exfoliate? I’m using J’s St Ives which I know is awful for sensitive skin but I only do it once a week!
I really like Purity Made Simple because it’s super gentle but always gets my makeup completely off (to be fair though, I use the Mia 2 Clarisonic brush every night, so that probably contributes to it!)

Oooh, what’s the brush like? I’ve never tried one! I’d it effective?
I need to try that cleansing water-I keep hearing good things about it!
I really like it but I’ve never tried any of the others yet.
Quick and easy routine you have…nice! You probably need a facial cleanser to remove the rest of your makeup. I love the avene brand. Good stuff!
Thank you! Yeah, I was thinking that; do you have any suggestions?
I love the Avène range 😊 it’s so good!
At the moment I’m using Keihl’s Calendula deep cleansing foaming facial wash. My skin is normal/oily and a bit sensitive. Tip…I bought the travel size (because they’re expensive regular size) and it lasts ages! x
Ooh, I’ll look into that thank you and thanks for the travel size tip 😊 x
No worries lovely! x
