The Co-Op Mother’s Day Ideas*

I usually buy my mum a lovely card, send some beautiful spring flowers and call her up for a long chat 🙂 Although when I was younger, I used to buy my mum such treats as gold jewellery with Mother written across it, sorry Mum!! <3

This year, I thought I’d treat her to something a bit different! (Mum, if you’ve decided to read my blog, this isn’t the post you’re looking for. Go away and do some embroidery or something!!)

The Co-Op* may not be the first place you think of when looking for gift ideas, but they have everything you need to treat your mum to The Mother Of All Tea Parties. You see what they did there? Tea-riffic pun. I’ll see myself out!

If your mum loves a traditional afternoon tea, why not buy her a gorgeous teacup and saucer and some of her favourite tea? You could even pick up some scones, jam and cream to go with it for a really lovely afternoon!

If that’s not really her thing, there’s always a great choice of cakes; just look at that red velvet cake, sitting there all sexy with its “eat me” vibes. Unless my mum didn’t take my advice and she’s actually reading this, I could just eat the cake myself and she’d never know. That’d be okay, right?

If she’s not a tea lover, what about a bottle of Prosecco for the slightly more boozy afternoon? And if she’s really traditional and loves chocolates and flowers, what could be better than a chocolate flower, because who doesn’t love both at once? Am I right? <3

The Co-Op also do a fantastic range of real flowers, boxes of chocolates, and Mother’s Day cards, so if you’re stuck for what to get that special woman in your life this weekend, why not pop into your local Co-Op and grab some treats for a lovely afternoon tea to remember 🙂

What do you have planned for Mother’s Day this weekend? Let me know in the comments below 🙂 x

*I was kindly sent this hamper by Co-Op but views and mum are all my own.

  1. I always forget the Co-Op actually has some great things! Lovely post, it was recently my mum’s birthday and I’m at university again now so we did a joint mother’s day/birthday last week! – Leanne 🙂

      1. We went for a meal! Not much but we had a great time! My mum also managed to break the necklace I got for her but I think it’s fixed now, I hope so haha! xx
