Miller Harris | Citron

Back in March, I joined the #30plusblogs Twitter chat in conjunction with Miller Harris (#mh30plus) to talk about fragrance memories and how certain scents can remind you of a beautiful afternoon or an amazing evening (or smelling Lynx makes you think of being 15 and all the boys spraying cans of it on in the hopes of attracting a mate).

They were also running a competition to win one of Miller Harris’ new fragrances; Citron, and I was one of the lucky ones to win a bottle. I was really excited as fruit (especially citrus) is one of my favourite top notes.

It has top notes of Sicilian lemon, Seville orange and Jamaican lime. To me the top notes smell like a holiday, wandering through cobbled streets while the sun is beating down on you and a cool breeze ripples through your hair. The mid notes include marjoram, mint and basil which feels cool and refreshing. The base notes of cardamon and cedarwood give it a slightly masculine feel and to me, it smells slightly spicy and dangerous.

For me, the scent is a lot deeper and woodier than I’d normally go for but I’m definitely going to give it another go because the lemon top note is just exquisite.

Have you tried any Miller Harris perfumes before? If not, what’s your favourite perfume/scent? Let me know in the comments section below 🙂 x

  1. I actually got the Miller Harris Vetiver Insolent from a 30 plus event. (Couldn’t actually make the event, but they sent me the perfume anyway!) I really love it, it’s quite unique. This one sounds really interesting too. Before that, I’d never heard of the brand! x
