Match Skin Clinic | Brighton*

Unless it’s escaped your notice, it was my birthday 16 days ago. I turned 32. Yeah, no kidding. According to the consensus, I look like I’m in my late twenties and act like I’m in my early twenties. Except I’m usually in bed at 10:30pm nowadays, not getting ready to go out clubbing. But I still have the fear that one day it’s going to catch up to me and it’ll all go downhill. Fast.

I’ve recently started taking steps to prevent the inevitable and what better way than by heading to Match Skin Salon* in Brighton for a non-surgical face-lift? A what now? Yep, a non-surgical face-lift.

The CACI face treatment is the latest way to turn back the clock, rejuvenate the skin and help reduce fine lines and wrinkles. It even tones and lifts the skin, all by using micro-currents. And best of all, one session only takes 45 minutes! Fancy stuff!

It didn’t really hurt and for the most part, I couldn’t feel any electrical current, except when it went close to my eyes. My mouth weirdly tasted metallic but my lovely therapist, Anna, had warned me about that. There was also slight pressure as she pushed the electrodes round my face, but it was kinda relaxing and not at all painful.

This is from their website and it shows how they place the electrodes on your skin.

I was also treated to 15 minutes of Radio Frequency (RF) Skin Tightening which tightens, tones and plumps up the skin.

I was really impressed with my treatment, although some of my deeper lines were still quite visible. They do recommend that you have a course of treatments, rather than just one, but as you can see, this is the before (left) and after (right) and yes, my face is redder and shiner on the right but my cheeks definitely look plumper. My skin felt so, so soft afterwards.

It’s a great idea if you’re looking for something to help with fine lines and wrinkles; especially if you don’t want to go under the knife!

*I was invited by the venue for a complementary treatment but all views, wrinkles and redness are my own.

  1. This does sound as though it’s very relaxing, except the bit where they go near your eyes, that I would freak out over! I think I’ll definitely look into trying something like this treatment. What a difference in those two photos of you!

  2. The clinic I go to for my lips offers this treatment and I always wondered if it would hurt or how it would feel. Your skin looks great before and after but I love how it sort of fills like a filler would, so I would like to try this!
