Lozano Skincare Masque Review*

I’m a sucker for a good old pamper product, in fact, I have a massive drawer full of all different kinds of face masks, so I was super excited when Lozano Skincare got in touch, asking if I wanted to try out their new masque product!

The masque in question is their SkinTea Active Renewal Masque and, as the name suggests, it actually contains white tea!! They also very kindly gave me a discount code available for you to get money off your own masque (which you can find near the bottom of the page) πŸ˜€

The product details:

The masque is designed to be used 2 to 3 times a week and can help to deliver antioxidants, exfoliate the skin and stimulate collagen πŸ˜€ It also helps to remove dead skin and pollution from your skin, unclog pores (I definitely need this), reduce visible signs of wrinkles (again, I feel like I really need this now) and it also brightens the skin!

The product contains 5% white tea (the antioxidants), 3% hyularonic acid (for hydration), 3% glycolic acid (the skin brightening bit) and 1% lactic acid (for the exfoliation).

The website says

The specific Antioxidants in our hero ingredient,Β White Tea, most notably EGCG, are more effective than Vitamin C in destroying the free radicals responsible for premature ageing and the acceleration of dead skin cells. Furthermore, ECGC can significantly encourage the growth and strength of collagen, the face’s main structural protein.

How to use the masque:

It’s incredibly easy to use and the instructions are (for the most part) super simple;

  1. Apply 3 to 5 pumps of the product to a clean, damp face. However, DO NOT rub it onto your face “it should be applied like frosting on a cupcake” (whatever that means, I’m assuming you’re meant to pat it on … Or use a massive spatula?) πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚
  2. Leave the masque on to work its magic for about 15 minutes.
  3. Once it’s time to remove the masque, use lots of water and gently wash away the mask πŸ™‚
  4. Pat dry your face and add your moisturiser as usual!!

What did I think?:

The first thing I noticed was the smell. The masque contains lemon and orange extract which smells incredible, citrus products are my favourite!! I have no idea if I can smell the white tea or not though as I don’t actually know what white tea smells like.

The pump was incredibly easy to use and the product is thick enough that you don’t have to worry about it going everywhere πŸ™‚

I was pleasantly surprised that the product didn’t make my face sting when I put it on, especially because when I first started using it, I was suffering from a slight breakout of spots!

It dried really quickly, but didn’t make my face feel tight at all and I nearly forgot I had it on!! Luckily I’d set a timer on my phone or I might have sat in the lounge with it on all day!!

Afterwards, it made my skin feel super soft and it definitely looked brighter. Even after the first application, my spots looked a lot less red and angry πŸ™‚ I’ve not really noticed a reduction in my wrinkles though, but perhaps I have too many now lol πŸ™ŠπŸ™Š

Overall, I really like this masque; it’s easy to use, it smells lovely and my skin really looks and feels better for using it. At Β£32 for 50ml, it is one of the more expensive masques out there, but as I only use it every few days, the bottle goes a really long way πŸ™‚

If you’re looking for a slightly higher end product, I’d definitely recommend giving this one a go and, you can get 15% off your first purchase with my discount code: GOLLYMISSHOLLY15 πŸ˜€ πŸ˜€

They also sent me some little pouches of tea to try which was such a lovely thought! This tea pouch is full of loose leaf organic imperial Yunnan silver needle white tea πŸ™‚

This one is a blend of orange and lemon peel with papaya leaf tea and pomegranate peel tea!!

Thank you to Lozano Skincare for sending this me the masque to try out, it’s definitely going into my skincare routine!!

Would you try a white tea masque? What’s your favourite kind of masque to buy? Let me know in the comments below πŸ™‚ x
