Layered’s Big Hair Do Event

BigHairDo

Layered put on a fantastic event in 100 salons round the UK on Thursday 24th September. I was lucky enough to get two tickets for Simon Webster Hair in Brighton. There were loads of tutorials, product reviews, consultations and food!

First up was a presentation from Simon Webster, salon owner and Alice Gazagnes, Senior Stylist & Colourist about their must-have Bumble and Bumble products. The two that really caught my eye were:

The Invisible Oil – To tame frizz and flyaway hair. It was non-greasy, smelt amazing and really worked well on all hair types.

Dryspun FinishIt’s a dry spray designed to create texture and fullness. It looks like a bit like dry shampoo but doesn’t leave that weird residue behind. It was really amazing the see the model’s hair go from flat to full in seconds!

After the presentation, two of the stylists were creating quick 5 minute hairstyles. Hair

There were also demos from the lovely ladies at Smashbox in Boots and the chance to try out loads of their products 🙂

And there were sweets, cupcakes, champagne and gorgeous bottles of Cherry Cola and Rose Lemonade for everyone to enjoy!

Unfortunately as J was feeling really ill, I left early, but not before I had the chance to get one of their amazing goody bags!

Some mini Bumble and Bumble products (I didn’t realise the can was pink hair chalk until I was photographing it! I now really want to try it out!!):

I also got two lovely bags, loads of discounts from local Brighton shops and a lovely teabag from the Bluebird Tea Co.

It was an amazing evening and everyone at Simon Webster Hair was incredible. They organised everything really well and had some great tips and products. I’ve definitely got my eyes on some new hair products now 😀

Have you ever been to an event like this? Did you go to one of the salons running the Big Hair Do? x
