Film Nights With Popcorn Shed*

I don’t want to sound like I’m bragging, but ever since we got a rather large screen TV a couple of years ago, film nights in our house have been pretty awesome! We also have surround sound as well for that real “cinema experience”.

The only thing we’ve lacked is some good old snacks!

We used to make our own popcorn but J would inevitably make enough for about 6 people and I’d end up feeling sick πŸ™ Plus there’s the danger of breaking a tooth on an unpopped kernel!!

Then Popcorn Shed* came to the rescue πŸ˜€ Not only are they a UK-based gourmet popcorn company, their products are gluten-free with all natural ingredients 🍿🍿

Popcorn Shed have so many flavours, so we had to have quite a few film nights! What a shame. These are not your traditional popcorn flavours either! There’s Salted Caramel, Berry-licious and Sweet Cheesus to name a few!!

I thought it would be fun to test J and see what flavour he thought they were πŸ˜€

Pop ‘N’ Choc is double chocolate with smooth cocoa-infused caramel base. We both liked this one although I found the chocolate to be pretty subtle. It tasted sweet without being too much though πŸ™‚ J got it right in the first couple of popcorn pieces!

Salted Caramel is self-explanatory, although it’s also been topped with Belgian chocolate! I love salted caramel so I was excited to try this one out. I thought there could have been more salt whereas J thought this was just right. He also guessed it right first time πŸ˜€

Sweet Cheesus has real cheddar cheese, mixed with buttery caramel. I still can’t decide if I liked it or not; cheese and caramel is an interesting combination. J thought this one was “lovely but dangerous”. The cheese on its own and caramel on its own was delicious, but together makes for an odd mouth experience πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

Pecan Pie is a smooth buttery caramel popcorn with real pecan pieces to add texture. I absolutely loved this one. You can really taste the pecan and the syrup really makes this taste just like a pecan pie. J also really liked this one and surprisingly guessed right straight away πŸ˜€

The Berry-licious combines raspberry and dark chocolate. I love raspberries, chocolate and popcorn so this one seemed perfect; it was! The mix of flavours was spot on and the raspberry added a gorgeous sharpness to the popcorn! J loved this one too πŸ₯°πŸ₯°

Butterly Nuts popcorn is a peanut butter caramel with real peanut halves! J thought it was a minty popcorn and at first taste, I can see his point. Once you eat more though, you soon realise it’s peanut butter and the added addition of real peanut pieces is such a great idea!

Finally, Say Cheese is a mature cheddar popcorn. This was an absolute delight and would, according to J, be fantastic to eat while enjoying a lovely glass of red!!

Personally, I think that Berry-licious was my absolute favourite, whilst J loved all of them the most!!

The popcorn in the shed-shaped boxes are Β£3.50 each, whilst the snack packs are around Β£1.50 and, although you can’t seem to buy them individually on their website, I think you can buy them at Superdrug, The Co-Op and Ocado.Β  They also do massive jars or popcorn for Β£15.
