Well, I finally made it to Southampton to see Alice and Joshua 😀 I also got a fab surprise in the form of Emily, Alice’s sister!! I follow her on social media and have chatted to her for ages, so it was lovely to finally meet!!
Chicken Tikka Masala Recipe Review
You know when you’re feeling a bit rubbish and you’re not sure why? Well, I love cooking something that’s comforting and, for me, nothing says comforting like a nice big plate of curry and rice!!
A Chatty Catch-Up | February
Oh jeez, where to start with February?? Well, I spent the first two weeks of it off work, feeling incredibly dizzy and sick!! I was in bed for most of the mornings with the TV on quietly as a distraction, then had a quick shower and flumped on the sofa with a blanket for the afternoons; Dog Rescuers with Alan Davies has become one of my new favourite shows!!
Street Thai | Brighton
A couple of days ago, I met up with some friends for a very long overdue catch-up!! I’ve been really hankering for some good Thai food, so we decided we were going to go along to Street Thai (in Brighton Square, which is in The Lanes); I’ve been before and absolutely loved it!
Cin Cin | Hove*
I can’t believe it was November 2016 when I attended the launch of Cin Cin in Vine Street! It was such a lovely, fun evening and the food was absolutely perfect!
I was so excited when I learnt late last year that they were going to be opening another restaurant at 60 Western Road in Hove (right near Palmeira Square.)
Share Sized Pots From POLO*
Back in the 90s, I was one of those children who, rather than scoffing chocolate and biscuits, always used to devour a packet of Polos pretty much every day, almost like there was no tomorrow. I always used to keep a packet either in my pocket or in a hand-me-down bag from my mum, which inevitably led to Polos falling out all over the place, getting all dirty with pocket fluff or breaking in the bottom of my bag 🙁
I was also one of those weird kids who used to suck their Polos until they were really, really thin, break a section off and pretend I had my lip pierced by using the POLO® as a lip ring!! Erm… Just me then, yeah?
The Vonshef Omelette Maker Review*
I’m not going to lie, we’re a massive fan of gadgets in our house, if it makes our lives easier, we’re in! From lighting we can control from our phones (thanks IKEA) to using our Google Home to play music, get up to date with the latest news and commute times to work.
We also have a plethora of kitchen gadgets that we actually use frequently; the Nutribullet for those daily smoothies (yup, I’m still using this a year later), an air fryer for healthier cooking and an electric can opener.
Jo Malone English Oak Event | Chichester*
A couple of weekends ago I jumped on a train to Chichester, meeting Millie, Beth and Rosie on the way, where we headed to Jo Malone (based in House of Fraser) for a wonderful afternoon to celebrate the launch of their latest fragrances; English Oak and Redcurrant and English Oak with Hazelnut ♥
Saturday Night In With Papa John’s*
It’s not really a secret that I’m a bit of a homebody. I much prefer pottering round the house of a weekend than being out in clubs or going to loud parties and feeling rubbish the next day!!
Saturday evenings are my absolute favourite because there’s no work the next day and I know that I don’t have to go anywhere; a bonus especially when it’s raining or cold outside 🙂
There’s nothing better than putting on the side lamp, cosying up on the sofa with J (under our massively super soft chocolate brown blanket) and chilling out watching TV or a film ♥
Redroaster | Brighton
Recently I finally got to meet Violet, Lyndsay‘s beautiful little girl. I can’t believe she’s six months old already!! We decided we were going to meet up over brunch, so what better place to do it than the new and improved Redroaster at the bottom of St James’ Street?
