If I’m being completely honest, I haven’t really felt festive at all this year. So far, I’ve watched 0 Christmas films, made 0 eggnogs, decorated 0 Christmas trees and sung at the top of my voice in the car to 0 Christmas songs. I’m not exactly Scrooge but it’s been really hard to get into the swing of it this year.
Recently Sammy, Mr Biscuit (her gorgeous miniature Daschund puppy) and I headed to Barker and Stonehouse in Hove on a rainy Saturday afternoon for a mooch around, a long over-due catch-up and to check out their new coffee house (situated upstairs at the back).
La Cave a Fromage is somewhere I’ve been past on the bus many times and have always wanted to go in and try. Recently, I finally got my wish and I headed there with my lovely friend Tania for their fondue night and a long over-due catch-up!
A few weeks ago, a super intriguing email landed in my inbox that completely piqued my attention!
I was asked if I wanted to attend the launch of The Canna Kitchen, the UK’s First Cannabis Infused Restaurant, and, obviously, I absolutely had to go and try it out for myself!
It’s hard to believe we’re already at the end of November! I’m not a massive fan of this time of year; I just find it so dark and miserable. I feel like I’m just waiting for April to come when it’ll start to get warmer! Anyone else?

October has been a pretty slow relaxing month, which has been nice! It’s also been a month of warm sunshine, birthdays, illnesses and a trip to the Harry Potter Studio Tour with my mum ⚡️🎉
I nearly forgot to write one of these this month; it kind of slipped my notice that we were suddenly at the end of September!! I can’t believe we’re now in October already!
POLPO is a small, unassuming restaurant, situated at 20 New Road (near the Theatre Royal). It’s well-known for their share plates of incredible Venetian food, a beautifully relaxed vibe and extensive cocktail menu.
I’ve passed by a lot, but never had the chance to stop and go in, until now.
August is probably one of my favourite months; mostly because it’s my birthday and I usually take a week off to have some down time! Although this year I managed to get two weeks off due to my brother’s wedding being at the end of the month!
