Back in March last year, I shared my rather pitiful blogging setup which included a teeny tiny spot on the sofa in our lounge to sit and write posts. My photos were all taken on top of our laundry basket in the bathroom, using an old marble tile J had left over from tiling the wall. Keeping it classy!
I’ve felt a bit lost in the blogging world recently. I’ve seen people getting some incredible opportunities and going to amazing events* while I’m sitting at home wondering why it’s not me. Why I’m not good enough or pretty enough or engaging enough to get all those fab blogger emails you hear about.
I try to read as many blog posts as I can, when I can. Sometimes I love reading the favourites post or the what I got up to at the weekend ones, but sometimes, there are certain blog posts that make me think or that I want literally everyone in the world to read. So I thought I’d share my love for some of my favourite posts I’ve read this month!
I’ve been feeling a bit “meh” of late, so when I was recently tagged by the lovely Lyndsay over at Fizzy Peaches to write a 10 things that me happy post, I figured it would be good for me to take time out to remember there are still things out there that make me happy and make me smile 🙂
I’m not by any means an expert and I’m only really going by the things I’ve learnt since I started, but a few of my friends have started blogging recently and asked for tips, so here’s my guide on starting a blog!
You know sometimes when you’re sitting with your regular friends, you start talking about blogging and they just don’t get it? And although I love my friends, I’ve come to realise that there are so many awesome reasons to have other bloggers as friends. So I thought I’d share my list about why I think bloggers make the best friends (apart from a few of my closest non-blogger friends of course!)
Last month I wrote a post about my Twitter pet peeves (you can catch up here if you’ve not read it yet). It seemed to be a really popular post and loads of you were in agreement (luckily, else I could have been banished from Twitter forever!! #overexaggeration.)
A few people mentioned that there were loads of irritating things about Instagram as well, so I thought I’d do a post about that!

So this is kind of a continuation, except now that I’ve been avidly using Twitter for the last year and a half, here are some of my Twitter pet peeves.
I thought I’d get this one in early because last year I left it quite late, and I didn’t write my blog goals until November, oops!
If you’re unfamiliar with the concept, it’s basically just a list of blog-related goals that I want to achieve in 2017. Then at the end of the year, I look back at this list and see how I’ve got on! 🙂
