Oh jeez, where to start with February?? Well, I spent the first two weeks of it off work, feeling incredibly dizzy and sick!! I was in bed for most of the mornings with the TV on quietly as a distraction, then had a quick shower and flumped on the sofa with a blanket for the afternoons; Dog Rescuers with Alan Davies has become one of my new favourite shows!!
Around the new year, I decided I really wanted to streamline my Instagram account. I don’t mean my own photos however (although perhaps I should delete some of the really rubbish ones!), I mean the accounts that I follow and the photos I end up seeing on my feed. Although doing this hasn’t exactly beaten the algorithm, I am finally seeing a lot of different accounts when I have a scroll through 😊
So how did I do it?
Wow, what a long old year, eh? The first few months seemed super long and the rest, as usual, has absolutely sailed by! I hope you’ve all had a really lovely 2017 but if you haven’t, here’s hoping your 2018 is much better 🙂
If you haven’t got a clue what I’m talking about, blog retweet accounts are specific accounts on Twitter that will retweet your promo blog tweets; either to a larger following or to loads of different people who don’t perhaps follow you and haven’t read your blog before 😀
If you follow these accounts, it’s also a great way to find some incredible new bloggers and Twitter accounts to follow as well 🙂
I’ve seen a few tweets floating around recently asking people for their favourite retweet accounts, so I thought I’d share the ones I use the most often.
If you follow me on social media and regularly read my blog, you’ll know that things went a little quiet last month. I decided to take some down-time from blogging to concentrate on some real-life projects I’d been neglecting. Every weekend is usually spent taking blog photos, editing them and proof-reading blog posts for the next week, so it was lovely not to have to worry about any of that for a while.
August really has been a ridiculously exciting month for me. I started a new job that I’m absolutely loving, J and I took a couple of trips to IKEA to buy some new furniture and bits for the house (most of which we’ve put up already), I’ve caught up with loads of friends and also celebrated my birthday!! The beginning of August also saw the start of me offering business advertising on the blog, so I’m going to introduce my fabulous August advertiser!
Hey lovelies, how’s it going? I’m so sorry I’ve been super quiet on social media recently. I’ve just started a new job and I get no signal in my building (unless I stand right in the corner looking like a twat!) The good news is that I absolutely love my job; it’s keeping me super busy so the days go really quickly!!
I honestly can’t believe that July is nearly over. I’ve had a pretty frantic but awesome month to be honest. I recently quit my job of 18 months to start something slightly different (in fact it’s my first day today, wish me luck!).
I got to hang out with loads of my really lovely (blogger) friends 🙂 I went up to London twice; the first time was for the Harry Potter studio tour and the second was to check out the AW17 collection from GOSH ♥ I also rode a bike for the first time in about 20 years and nailed a pretty difficult pole move called the Superman! I also went to down to Portsmouth to have lunch with my parents, my brother and his children 🙂
I’m pretty damned excited to say that I’m now going to be offering a few advertising spaces on the sidebar of my blog, starting from the 1st of July! The spaces will run from the 1st of every month to the last day of every month and I’m currently offering two different packages depending on whether you’re a blogger or a business 😀
Sometimes it’s hard to feel inspired for blog posts and if I’m lacking inspiration, my first thought is always to look and see if my favourite bloggers have any blog post ideas to help me out when I’m feeling particularly stuck. I’ve also been writing down post ideas whenever inspiration strikes, so I thought I’d write a list of blog post ideas, in case any of you happen to be stuck for what to write at the moment.
