I wasn’t going to write anything about this, but to be honest, it’s still making me feel angry.
Huh? What the hell are you talking about Hols? Well, if you missed me having a good old rant about it on Twitter last week, a company (who shall remain nameless but amusingly rhymes with crappy and vile) decided to run a poll. This poll in fact.
It’s only that bloody time of year, well technically, it’s not quite but who’s going to want a gift guide a week before Christmas? No one, that’s who!
I’ve compiled a list of gift ideas I think you might love for your nearest and dearest. Or yourself. Treat yo’self, it’s Christmas!!
Since I started going to blog meets and events at the beginning of this year, I’ve accumulated about 6 drawers full of goodies! I always mean to get around to trying everything, but life and being forgetful lazy gets in the way. So I thought if I made blog posts out of it, I’d probably actually make an effort to try out some of the bits and let you know what they’re like!
This Sleek palette post has been sitting in my drafts for absolutely ages, mostly because I wanted to take some photos which would do absolute justice to it but I wasn’t happy with any of the photos I took; they just didn’t look right. Does anyone else ever have that problem?
Back in August, I was lucky enough to win one of the Shadow Switches from Beauty Essentials. You may have seen them floating round the blogging world recently, but what exactly is a Shadow Switch? (Totally said in the tone of Mr Weasley regarding the functions of rubber ducks!)
Nestled in a part of Brighton I’ve never really ventured before (Gloucester Road) is Shine; a hair salon with added nail bar and massage treatments. I was invited to check them out because Jonathan, the salon owner, has just brought out a gorgeous shampoo bar. (Not like an alcohol bar. Don’t get those two confused.)
While watching some random YouTube videos a couple of weeks ago, it recommended a YouTuber called Cherry Wallis. If you’ve not heard of her before, I’d definitely recommend checking her out. She not only has a lot of Harry Potter related videos, but loads of SFX makeup videos which I was absolutely enthralled by. It looked really fun, so I decided I wanted to try some of the looks for myself. Unfortunately I didn’t own any SFX stuff at all, so I bought a few things from Treasure House of Makeup.
I’ve also been admiring Hayley’s (TeaPartyBeauty) Instagram feed because her Halloween SFX makeup is just fab!!

It’s been ages since I’ve done a makeup of the day post. In fact I think it was back in July! Damn… Where’s the time gone?
I thought I’d do an autumny-feel makeup look at the weekend; all purple and gold tones!
Following on from my last confessions regarding both Topshop and my guilty pleasures; I have one more big one for you, and you’re not going to like it. Up until recently I wasn’t a massive Lush fan because their shops smell too over-powering to me.
But, after heading to the Lush store in Crawley in the hopes of having my mind changed forever, they’ve 100% succeeded and I’m now a certified … Lushite? Lusholian? Whatever it might be, I feel I can now send off for my official blogger’s badge because I ♥ Lush.
Where the hell did September go? I’m sure a couple of weeks ago it was still light out about 8:30, now it’s pitch black. Autumn is definitely here now.
