Blogosphere Cover Reveal Party*

Just over two weeks ago, the Blogosphere Magazine launched issue 9 and kept their cover star a secret until the big reveal. At a party. In London. Which I was invited to. Sitting on the train to London, I felt like the jammiest blogger that ever lived. Until I went to do a wee on the train and there was no toilet paper. Fume. Luckily I found a scrap in my bag. Phew.

After circumnavigating the tube and SoHo in a pair of vintage Clarks, not to be recommended FYI, I arrived at the venue and headed inside. Alone. Deep breath, you can do this Hols! You’re an adult. Apparently.

Luckily for me, the first person I spotted was the ever so lovely Jordan, who I’d met previously at another blogger event. She introduced me to loads of people (including Scarlett London, Milli Grace and Hannah Gale) and let me cling to her like a frightened child on their first day at school. I even managed to spend time chatting to the cover star, Ella Grace Denton and she was so sweet and charming.

I did try and take photos, but none of them came out well and I was actually having too much fun. Sorry. But not that sorry.

I was also tempted to do an unboxing video of the goody bag I received, but to be honest my face is doing all sorts of weird things at the moment and that’s probably not the best intro I could give you into my life 😛 Maybe next time! You’re just gunna to have to settle for some photos instead, as usual 😉

First up was a filled-to-the-brim You Beauty box from Latest in Beauty** who were at the event. By the way, I totally make no apologies for the succulent I used in A LOT of the photos. He’s new and he wanted to be in the blog. Bless. Imma call him Martin.

I received samples of Aussie 3 Minute Miracle conditioner, Encre Noire aftershave and some Aromatherapy Support breathe Bath and Shower oil which I can’t wait to try as I have not only hay fever but asthma as well and sometimes my breathing ability is crap. I also got a massive can of the Batiste Frizz Tamer which is going to be my life this summer <3

I can’t wait to try the Bee Good Honey & Propolis 2-in-1 Cream Cleanser as I’ve loved previous products of theirs I’ve tried. There was also Nuxe Golden Shimmer Shower Oil, Elemis Body cream (how gorgeous is the packaging??) and some body lotion and Skin Food from Weleda. As soon as I saw the Weleda, I sent a screenshot to J, he’d bought about 5 tubes of it a couple of weeks before. Not even exaggerating!

I also got a beautiful lip crayon from Burt’s Bees and the Eyelure Brow Amplifier in Dark Blonde.

They also had a massive jar filled with samples and encouraged us to take some, so I picked up a Rimmel Provocalips and a black Popband to try out. I’ll let you know how I get on 🙂

I’m pretty excited to try out the Lee Stafford CoCo LoCo lotion, it’s coconut oil and my newly-bleached hair is gunna need some of this over the summer! I also got AEOS Hydrating Mist, the cutest sample of Amie Facial Wash and some Evolve Satin Leg Gloss.

Two of the brands there at the event were Yesto and UBU (Urban Beauty United). Yesto is all about natural ingredients and UBU have the most gorgeous brushes I’ve ever seen! I also found an Inika Lip Balm right at the bottom of the bag 😀 And as always, snacks are very much appreciated. The London Tea Company gave me some Pure Chamomile tea and Snact delivered with their fruit jerky. I frickin’ love that stuff!

I can’t wait to try all these goodies and I highly recommend checking all these companies out 🙂 And a massive shout out to Albertine for inviting me 🙂 Thank you 🙂

  1. I’ve never heard of this magazine before! But it looks like you had an amazing time at the party. I’d be so nervous about going to something like that with someone, let alone by myself! I love the look of the Batiste Frizz Tamer – I have such a problem with frizzy hair.

    1. It was so much fun but i was absolutely terrified of going alone! The frizz tamer is amazing, I’d definitely recommend checking it out 🙂 x
