A Chatty Catch-Up | November

I actually really like writing these posts as it’s a great way to remind myself what I’ve been up to every month.  Sometimes it’s so hard to remember as the months tend to blur into one!!  Anyway, I  really hope you all enjoy reading them 🙂

Blogging wise, I finally started getting back into blogging again, yay!!  I’ve decided I’m taking a much more relaxed approach and not stressing about having to get posts up.  I’m going to blog when I feel inspired 🙂

I also attended the Crawley Lush event with some of my absolutely fave Brighton bloggers and met some lovely new ones too 🙂  It was a great chance to catch up, eat some Christmas food and check out the latest products Lush have to offer 🙂  If you want to read more, you can read my post on it!

I went to the Salon Success Jingle and Mingle event where we got to have Christmas dinner and check out some new fabulous hair care products!! There’ll be a blog post coming up next week about it!

I went to three tattoo consultations in November and although I had a clear idea in my head of what I really wanted (a Disney inspired piece), I changed my mind and ended up booking in for December for something completely different!!  I can’t wait to share it with you all 😀  I’m finally getting my cover-up, yay!!!!

There were a few hospital visits this month; I had an audiology appointment where I was officially diagnosed with misophonia and was given some great information and coping strategies!  I also attended the Park Centre for Breast Care to have my breast cyst drained, it was pretty fascinating as I got to watch an ultrasound video of it afterwards.  I had a local anaesthetic so it barely hurt at all and I even got to see all the gunk they drained out :O  The best appointment of all though was J’s rheumatology appointment where he finally got officially diagnosed with fibromyalgia (or chronic widespread pain syndrome as they prefer to call it now.)  He’s going to see a fibro nurse sometime in the new year for some information and advice 🙂

The other brilliant bit of November was my mum and dad coming to stay for the weekend 😀  They stayed in a hotel in Brighton and we caught up over lunches and dinners; it’s always so lovely to see them and spend time with them!!  Me and Mum went off for a bit of shopping, leaving Dad to read a paper and have a coffee in peace lol.  We then all met back and up took our traditional walk up the pier so Dad could see the ghost train!

That evening we went out for dinner (J felt too ill to come) at The House.  It’s a really intimate restaurant near Lush in Brighton.  I had the wild mushroom risotto and the chocolate and orange fondant for pudding; it was absolutely delicious, so much so that I’d eaten about half before I remembered I wanted to photograph it lol 😀

I also went to 7Bone in Hove with my friend Rachael.  We had a lovely catch up over burgers and chips! I opted for the One Big Chicken (buttermilk fried chicken, hash brown, cheese, chipotle ketchup, hp sauce, mayo) and Rachael went for a pair of sliders!  We both shared some tater tots (which I found a bit boring) and some seasoned fries which were delicious!  It was a really lovely evening 😀

Finally, I’d decided that I wasn’t going to bother with an advent calendar this year, but then I found out that I’d won Alice‘s amazing L’Occitane calendar giveaway, I was so chuffed!!

Don’t forget to check out my wonderful advertiser; Kathleen.  Kathleen is a premium skincare brand with a passion for all things natural and organic.  They have an incredible range of products and I’ve reviewed the Illuminating Serum, the Sonic Facial Cleanser and their brand new shower gels and body oils!

Glad you’ve got back into blogging again, I know exactly what you mean about having a relaxed approach to posting and doing it when you want to. I went through the same thing a few months back. So happy you we’re able to spend time with your parents 🙂

  2. Sounds like you’ve had a lovely month! I’ve had two cover-ups, and they’re always so worth it when you no longer have to look at the original tattoo 😉 Can’t wait to see some photos!
