A Chatty Catch-Up | November 2020

Well November is over and we’re now into the final month of a very long year! November was a pretty chill month to be honest. There was a lot of chilling on the sofa watching TV, lots of chilling in bed watching TV and a few autumnal walks πŸ™‚

Here’s a round up of what else I got up to last month πŸ™‚

Food:

I followed another Jane’s Patisserie recipe and made her Caramel Apple Crumble Pie, which was absolutely incredible! My mum also made it without the crumble topping and she thought it was amazing too πŸ™‚

What I loved:

I’ve been doing J’s hair for a few years now (using clippers) and, after I did his hair recently, I somehow managed to persuade him to cut mine. It hadn’t been cut since December 2019 😬😬 He actually did a really good job and took about 1/2 inch off. It looks a lot neater now πŸ™‚

I spent November binge watching Lucifer because I was bored one weekend and found series 1-3 free on Amazon Prime! Lucifer gets bored of running Hell so takes a vacation in LA. He’s a successful club owner and, when a friend is murdered, he teams up with Detective Chloe Decker to solve the crime. He loves finding bad people to punish so soon becomes a civilian consultant with the LAPD and tries his hardest to get the detective to sleep with him!!

I absolutely loved it! I finished part one of season 5 last week but part two isn’t due to air for another few months and I honestly can’t wait!!

This cute Mickey ice cream pin was on sale for Β£3 and I couldn’t resist. I got it on Etsy from Rio and Blue! Isn’t it just so adorable? I definitely want to get more Mickey shaped treats for my pin board!

I had a conversation with my parents about Christmas presents and we all decided we didn’t want or need anything, so they bought me a jigsaw puzzle mat “just because”. Now I can do my jigsaws anywhere in the house. As it has a lid, it keeps my puzzle safe when I’m not doing it (although Mr Bear still sits on it when I’m working on a puzzle!)

Finally, don’t forget to check out my amazing advertisers:

Kathleen Natural is a premium skin care brand, based in the UK, who have a passion for all things natural and organic. They have an incredible range of products and I’ve reviewed the Illuminating Serum, the Sonic Facial Cleanser and their brand new shower gels and body oils on my blog πŸ™‚ They’re also on Twitter and Instagram as well 🌸🌸🌸

Problems and Projects is a blog dedicated to conquering challenges in the home! Mrs P&P (plus Mr P&P) lives in a fixer-upper and blogs about DIY tutorials, budgeting, blogging and more!! You can also find Mrs P&P on Twitter and Facebook!!

Kayleigh Zara is someone I’ve followed on Twitter for a long time! She regularly does comment threads, which are definitely worth checking out. Her blog is incredibly diverse as she blogs about beauty, lifestyle, blogging and food!

You can find Kayleigh on Instagram and Pinterest too πŸ™‚

Saw you used to have a personal trainer, have you kept up with the fitness throughout lockdown?

    1. The recipe for the crumble is linked in the post πŸ™‚ No, unfortunately I haven’t kept up with the fitness (although I’m still going for walks) as an injury forced me to stop weight lifting πŸ™
