A Chatty Catch-Up | March

March has been a bit of a “blink and you’ll miss it” month. It’s also been a bit rubbish if I’m being honest. I feel like my blog is lacking direction at the moment and I don’t know where to take it. I’ve barely blogged at all πŸ™ I’ve also not really felt myself and at the beginning of the month I lacked any motivation, boooo!

I’m still really loving Instagram though, but I’m not sure that I want to stop my blog and start micro-blogging instead. I’m just not sure if people really read blogs much any more?? What do you think?

Despite some negative bits, March meant I finally got to meet up with Alice in Southampton. Emily, her sister also came too and we had a lovely time in Cabana, Coffee Lab and wandering round the shops. I also got Joshua cuddles, he’s just adorable!! I wrote a post about our day which you can read about here.

I also moaned on Insta stories about how badly foundation sits on my face and the lovely Jen from Turn Beautiful (next to the Giggling Squid) offered me a free skin consultation and some samples from Environ to try; I got a cleanser, AVST gel and clay masques. She was also kind enough to give me a Jane Iredale CC cream to test πŸ™‚

I met up with my mum in Chichester for coffee, cake and lunch. My dad was meant to come too but he felt too ill to come so I’m seeing him (and my mum again) next month! Me and Mum had a lovely time catching up and we popped into the Wild Mint Cafe inside House of Fraser for coffee and an eclair (although I had a strawberry cordial thing instead, which was delicious!!)

After wandering round the shops (I forgot how rubbish Chichester is for shops, there isn’t even an H&M!!) we headed to Bill’s for lunch. We shared some halloumi sticks which were incredible, I almost wish we’d got our own portions!! We also both chose the beetroot and feta quiche which we really enjoyed!!

My dizzy spells are back again which meant that pole classes haven’t exactly been enjoyable of late πŸ™ plus the fluorescent lighting in the studio flickers a lot, giving me headaches. I’ve also realised that I have a lot of neck pain, so I think before giving up on pole completely, I’m going to see an osteopath to see if it helps!

The biggest news this month for me is that I got my hair cut short; well, it’s short for me! I’ve not had it this short since I was 14, just about to start Year 10 at a new school and I asked the hairdresser for choppy layers (think that Rachel haircut). What I got was not choppy layers but ONE layer. The bottom layer reached the nape of my neck and the top layer reached the bottom of my ears 😐😐😐 Think massive mushroom cloud on my head and you’re pretty much there!! After that fiasco, I was determined to never go short again, but I’m so glad I did! I absolutely love it ❀❀❀❀ I also finally learnt how to curl my hair with straighteners (kind of).

Dont forget that if you pop to the Storm watch shop in Bond Street, Brighton before the end of today, you can get 20% off any Time Chain watch by quoting the code Holly20 πŸ™‚

Plus, don’t forget to check out my wonderful advertiser; Kathleen.Β  Kathleen is a premium skincare brand with a passion for all things natural and organic.Β  They have an incredible range of products and I’ve reviewed the Illuminating Serum, the Sonic Facial Cleanser and their brand new shower gels and body oils!
