A Chatty Catch-Up | March 2021

You might, or might not, have noticed that I didn’t post a catch-up for February. To be honest, I barely did anything and just wanted to have a bit of a break. This month has been a lot more positive, so I wanted to write a post about it!

I love the end of March because the clocks go forward so we now officially have more daylight πŸ˜€ J and I also now have two weeks of annual leave, so we’re going to be working on the house and having plenty of downtime too πŸ™‚

Anyway, here’s what I got up to in March…

Food:

After dinner every night, J always asks what’s for pudding. Sometimes we’ll have bought a cheesecake or I can make a quick mug cake, but a lot of the time, we don’t have anything. J then jokes that I should whip up a quick pudding for us like tiramisu, trifle or crΓ¨me brΓ»lΓ©e (it’s always things we don’t have the ingredients for!)Β

So last weekend, I decided to surprise him by making some individual tiramisus in ramekins. They turned out really well and tasted absolutely amazing; I’ll definitely be making them again! I used a Mary Berry recipe which made 8 individual puddings πŸ™‚

Things I loved:

Now that the weather is getting warmer, I love spending time outside with Mr Bear. We chase each other round the garden and he loves playing fetch on the grass πŸ™‚

I’ve wanted a faux leather biker jacket for years, but didn’t think I could pull it off! I ended up buying this biker jacket from Dorothy Perkins recently and I absolutely love it! So far I’ve tried wearing it with a dress and boots and also a t-shirt and skinny jeans and it goes really well πŸ™‚

I saw Holly (the.fashion.blogger on Instagram) wearing a gorgeous white frill-trimmed top from H&M and I loved it so I bought one, but in charcoal grey (it also comes in blue)! The fabric is so soft and stretchy and I love the waist and cuff details πŸ™‚ It’s every so slightly see-through round my bra area though, so I’ll have to remember to put a cami top underneath when I wear it!

A couple of weekends ago, I went to Brighton Racecourse to get my first covid vaccine!! It was really well signposted and the staff were incredibly efficient and helpful πŸ™‚

How cute is this Funnybones pin from LittleShadyLane? I’d been wanting one for months, but every time I remembered about it, it was out of stock. I’ve finally got my hands on it though and I love it! The background is black and glittery! I used to love reading Funnybones as a child so the pin is a lovely nostalgic reminder πŸ™‚

Home and garden:

After planting our cherry tree in the garden, I honestly thought it had died. All the cherry trees around our area are all blossoming but ours was doing nothing πŸ™ I went to have a look at it the other day and it had very slowly started to bud!! I’m so happy and I can’t wait for it to come out fully πŸ™‚

What did you get up to in March? Have you had your covid vaccine yet? Let me know in the comments below πŸ™‚ x
